They aren’t the best at communicating. During our stay the main restaurant was closed we had no idea till we tried to go eat. Wasn’t that the biggest deal because they own another restaurant at the bottom of the hill and took us to and from.

The pool area is relaxing and beautiful. We loved the snorkeling, both swim out and a chartered boat trip. Incredible coral and sea life! The deciding factor in choosing this resort was the food reviews and they were spot on. Every meal simply blew us away. Imagine living right next to the best restaurant you’ve ever been! Delicious food beautifully prepared and impeccable service. It was heaven! We were genuinely sad to leave and are already planning a trip back."

The buffet breakfast was canceled due to no more than 15 guests for the first morning. The hotel ordered breakfast (per our choice) from outside restaurant but the food were cold thus did not taste good. The hotel did have salad and porridge for the breakfast. The second morning buffet breakfast was not impressive and was below my expectation based on other reviews from Booking.com. Closet space is limited.

You will likely want to rent a car since the attractions you can walk to are nice but limited; with a car we really enjoyed Anguilla from this location. It was a bit on the pricey side for just my wife and I, but would be a great option for a larger group or for families.

"We enjoyed our stay at the bacherhof resort. We were skiing for a few days and enjoyed the breakfast and the comfortable beds. The host and the family are very nice and helpful. The location was very good for us, near kaprun /zell am see/saalbach ski areas. Hopefully I'll have the chance to get back again. Thank you for having us Miki & noga"

A bit confusion regarding payment on the website & being told by Manager that Booking.com confirmed reservation, but payments are made at site.(Not listed on website) My payment info was given twice which was not necessary.

"Excellent historic building and interiors. The park with the pond looked nice too, but didn't have time to walk around. Several rooms are for team working activities. Cute spa with big jacuzzis and several saunas. We were welcomed by a very nice lady."

Restaurant could have something simple for eating, too. We don't need the full menu all the time. Some fruits, cheese, cookies, for example.

"Great hotel absolutely met our expectations. We were a big family from Cyprus (12 people), the rooms were great as described, the staff very helpful and kind always ready to help you with a smile! Great breakfast and facilities for everyone kids and adults. The pool was very big with sunbeds and supervision. Location excellent just 3-4 mins from the sea and near many shops and restaurants! Special thanks to Mrs. Eleni and all the staff there. Very kind and helpful with all our requests! Of course would like to visit again sometime in the future!"

We enjoyed the cute museum on site and appreciated the 50% discount! The staff was incredibly helpful. We forgot a suitcase and they quickly realized our mistake and called us before we had been gone more than a few minutes. It was a quick turnaround to be reunited with our belongings! So kind and thoughtful!"

There was a water leak coming from the toilet. Housekeeping was told about it on the second day because we only noticed it at the end of the first night. However, it was not addressed at all. We kept using towels to soak up the water and they just kept taking those, mopping up the water and giving us fresh towels everyday.

"Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world."

Not much but if I went again I'd maybe pay a little more for the room with ensuite shower rather than sharing a communal shower with non locking door. Obviously this is budget accommodation in West Africa so it's of the rustic eco lodge variety rather than the western style hotel room variety in case anyone is expecting that.

"Amazing location right on the beach. Bungalows are a bit dated but they are clean, comfortable, and the air con works great. Staff is exceptional, always willing to help you out with whatever you need. The daily breakfast is small and basic but we complemented ours with yogurt from Tina’s 24/7 market and it was perfect. The lagoon is so close, literally feet from your bungalow. The beach chairs are nice. Plenty of parking for cars or scooters. The grounds are pretty and well maintained."

The restaurant is only open on Wednesday and Saturdays so you need to go elsewhere the other nights for dinner. There are a couple of places within walking distance but you will need wheels of some kind to get to a grocery store or other dining options. WiFi works great out by the office or at the tables in the restaurant but you risk getting eaten by mozzies, wifi didn’t work very well in our bungalow.

"The property made a wonderful impression from the start. It had an elegant motif, thoughtfully executed to be both aesthetically pleasing and calming to the mind and soul. The customer service was 5 star! The room for the massages was very unique and inspiring. Also many big and small details made the cabins super photogenic and very connected to the surrounding forest, great for reflection and romance."

There is no closet for storing clothes, and good sleep quality may be elusive. Some maintenance issues unfortunately distracted a bit from the peace of the environment, but they were dealt with quickly and graciously by the attentive staff. Next time I might only stay for one night, so that the small issues don't distract as much from the ambience. It was overall a lovely romantic stay.
