"The location isn’t the best, but far from restaurants and center (30mins walk max, it’s ok during winter but won’t be so enjoyable during summer)"
"This was my 2nd time at this location. Again a wonderful experience. the owner who also runs the place is so helpful, he even took the trouble to find me medicine when I was having severe pain. Offers simple clean affordable accommodation. This is the only place I would stay if I visited Nouakchott again"

"Overall it’s probably the best place to stay in nauakchott, I’m a 24 year old solo traveler from the U.S and coming to Mauritania can be difficult alone but if you just text Samba the owner of the place, he will help you with everything and for a good price. He will pick you up at airport, drop you off wherever you’d like to go, he helped me get a bus to choum and brought me to the bus station and made sure I was on the right bus. He’s just a genuinely good and trustworthy guy which is all you can ask for when traveling somewhere in a country like Mauritania. As for the guesthouse it’s pretty nice it has everything you need, the location can be a bit intimidating at night time but everyone is friendly, I walked there at like 1am when I arrived and never had any issues with people. So I’d highly recommend it, I also met a guy doing the train, which is what I did, so it’s a good starting spot 😉"

"I had a comfortable private room and bathroom with very good AC. The host is the best thing about this place. Samba will take very good care of you and will quickly become your friend. He made sure I was able to make the most out of my time in Nouakchott, even connecting me with a contact in Atar and helping me get my bus tickets around the country. He will be your greatest ally and friend in this place."
