We loved borrowing bikes and riding to nearby attractions. We enjoyed the hike on site and the View Bar."

"We found it a bit strange that we had to pay for water at dinner. There may have been a good reason but it wasn’t explained. Also, we didn’t know in advance that men are expected to wear long pants and closed shoes for dinner. Luckily we had some, but it wasn’t strictly enforced anyway."

"We really liked the service, the kindness of the hotel staff was wonderful. They picked us up whenever we wanted with their golfcars and prepared a special birthday cake for me. The location was good, only 30 min from le morne beach and 15 min from seven colored earth. tons of rivers around as well. The nature and the view were amazing!! Walking in the jungle on the way to the breakfast was a special experience."

"The pools were not really clean most of the time and some bugs were inside (a result of the jungle). The toilet in our room had no door, meaning no privacy. And now the real thing that bothered us the most- bugs and little animals everywhere in the room- bathroom, balcony, cockroaches and flies inside the window curtains (they jump on you). We had some sleepless nights from their sounds."

"Very natural and serene location. Green, charming and eye catching. Convenient and stylish lodges, open air shower and pools. Kept closed to residents only, so feels like you almost on your own there. Great view at sunset from the bar atop the hill. Staff are best from what you could expect. A-la-carte menu and wine list in the main restaurant is fairly good and actually one could spend a few days without leaving the premises (we stayed for 2 nights). All-in-all makes your stay memorable and we will stay here again for a part of our journey next year."

"1. Breakfast not super abundant but will not leave you hungry. Coffee quality is poor for both at breakfast or extra. Feels like it is both, beans and milk stardard which could benefit from an upgrade. 2. Nothing to do with a stay, more like organisational feedback. The property should want to take better care of their personnel who are doing a great job every day. We stayed during very hot and humid days. Noticed that for not one, but for several employees their uniform had very strong odour. Presumably, for not being washed after days of hard work in the hot air or in the restaurant areas. Because there are distances and meters of altitude to cover so many times each day, no wonder that becomes a physical workout too. Because that is not a single case but was for a number of people, and because we did not come across that at 5 other places where we stayed after, that is definitely not individual, but organisational element."

"We loved the great location and ambiance. Our room was like having our own small eco lodge surrounded by tropical gardens and nature. We enjoyed using our own small pool that was very refreshing after a long day. The room was lovely with a large 4 poster comfortable bed (surrounded by mosquito net), his and her bathroom facilities and a private outdoor shower. It was only a short walk up to the evening bar where we could order a cool drink and watch the sun setting before strolling down to dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and helped us organize visits to the national parks, local walks and giant tortoises. So many wonderful photographs and memories!"

"Our arrival was delayed from UK by a day as our flight had to return to London after take off due to a solvent spill and associated emergency. The hotel staff and taxi pickup were very supportive and communicated with us by WhatsApp so when we did arrive we got a good welcome."

"The location and the service were excellent. We stayed for 3 nights and would go back tomorrow. The location is remote and quiet and you have the feeling of being completely isolated. The views and surrounding areas are beautiful and the view from the view bar is also spectacular at sunset! The staff were incredibly helpful and always happy to assist."

"This is the best hotel experience you can have in Mauritius. The location and the domaine is amazing very beautiful place to be to feel disconnected and enjoy the nature. Very peaceful area. The lodges are very separated from each other and you really feel in the middle of the mountain. Good privacy. There is a bar at the top with a spectacular view on the Beach and domains around. Beautiful. The outdoor shower was also a great experience given the humidity and temperature all the year in Mauritius. Staff are very kind and try their best to help, they really take care of customers. Mostly French speaking though (most of them have difficulty to speak English). The hotel can help to book activities around which is good and they provide complimentary bikes to go around."

"We booked a pool villa with mountain and garden view but we got allocated a villa with a wall hiding the view which was a shame. But luckily for our last night the hotel accepted to move us to a proper view villa which was great and amazing experience. Just not fair we got the disrupted view for the first 2 nights. Also we mentioned that we came for honey moon but they have no package no special things for honey moon. That was also disappointing. In terms of F&B, the food was average. Breakfast there is not alternative (non cow) milk, you have to bring your own. And no fresh juices are there only bottle juices which is a shame for us who don’t drink alcohol and enjoy the natural fruit juices. Also something surprising when you book half board room this does not include any drink in your diner the half board is exclusive of drinks even the hotel water you have to pay it at the table for your half board diner. Never seen this in an hotel before."

"Beautiful garden with lots of tropical birds and an opportunity to watch the flying foxes with a drink at the bar. Breathtaking seaview from one of the bars. Perfect service from all staff. Excellent massage, great yoga session, nice food. We had a lovely stay and would love to come again!"
