"I thought I've booked a shared dorm room and was pleasantly surprised when I got my own en-suite spacious room, super great value for money. The staff were also very kind and helpful!"

"Muy amable el dueño y su staff, daban recomendaciones y estaban atentos a nuestra estancia. Estuvo muy limpio el lugar. Y tranquilo."

"Esta un poco retirado del centro , aunque hay camiones urbanos para trasladarse,. En la descripción del hostal mencionaba TV. Y no había, tiene refrigerador compartido."

"Rooms have plenty of space and its easy to set yourself up. Overall the hotel was very clean and staff was very attentive. Plenty of parking so I never had to worry about space. Very close to a lot of the attractions."

"The hotel is gorgeous!! The staff was super friendly and helpful with hailing a taxi and offering plenty of suggestions of places to go in the city. We were also able to check in early which was a pleasant surprise. The tv in the hotel has streaming services and the room was so clean. Plus the location is a good one near the city center!"

"Raoul welcomes guests into his 400 year old family home which he artfully maintains with love and beautiful plants in the interior courtyards. He is a warm, gracious and helpful host. Located in the centro historico just a block or two away from the ancient aqueduct and several lovely small parks which feature beautiful old stone fountains that are still working."

"Like Mexico was 30 years ago. A gem hidden in an unlikely place, above a tienda that said "Mexican Wal-mart." Overlooking a small backyard/orchard with limes, ciruelas, mamey, bananas, limes, bitter oranges, chickens, many song birds. A delightful, small open air palapa restaurant on that second floor that was closed for the evening, where the family graciously, even encouragingly permitted all 10 of us to eat our dinner and hang out and have our beers. The tienda was very well stocked with fresh tortillas and baked goods, fruits and veggies, including large pineapples in season, a small pharmaceutical cabinet and household goods. Very, very friendly family run business. Seek out places like this if you want to truly experience Mexico, and get away from the congested tourist traps."
