"Facilities can feel quite stuffy (ie: the rooms are small, not much light, low ceilings, and generally theres less open space than other hostels). WiFi somewhat reliable. Overall Tuxtla doesn’t have the array of hostels that nearby cities like San Cristobal do. So relative to competition in Tuxtla I’d say this is very fair value and I’d stay here again."

"Well located, friendly and helpful staff and comfy room. There's also a terrace to chill and eat, unfortunately the only evening I was there the restaurant/bar up there was closed but it's nice to enjoy the view."

"Except for the terrace there is no common area to chill and meet people, but that's overall ok."

"Immaculately clean. Very confortable beds and great shower. The staff were amazing. We are 3 cyclists and had a safe place to store our bikes. My boyfriend was hit by a pick up truck on his bike the day we left, so we had to return to the hostel. They let us check back in early and were very helpful and understanding. We couldn’t work the TV and they swapped it for a new one within the hour. The kitchen was ideal for cooking and having a fridge and drinking water available was a massive bonus. The rooftop food was good and they play great music at weekends. Couldn’t recommend this place enough."

"The location was good and the bed was comfy, everything was clean except some shared furnitures in the bedroom due to messy persons there."

"Toilet outside the bedroom is not the best, you wake up midnight and must go out to use the toilet."

"Good place overall. I didn't eat at the bar restaurant upstairs, but nice to know they have one. Friendly and helpful staff. Wish the room had an in suite bathroom and or balcony, I guess some do. Wasn't a big deal, though. Safe neighborhood, across from the plaza and Cathedral. Air conditioning was nice, definitely. Probably made up for the shared bathroom (I'm old, give me a break)."

"Clean and comfortable with good amenities such as a nice common area with tables and seating on the rooftop with complimentary drinking water for refilling bottles."

"It was great, just slightly far from Plaza de Las Marimbas which is the main area to check out in the evenings for local culture and live music in family friendly environment."

"Clean, good bed, good bathroom, aircon and wifi worked. There was a party next to the hostel the night we were there, so it was very loud. We asked to change to another room on the other side, and staff was very helpful and friendly to change us to another room."

"It was well located next to the main plaza. Tuxtla doesn’t have much to see but it’s closed to the beautiful Sumidero canyon and Chiapa de Corzo. The staff was nice, and the roof top is a good to have for chilling, but the cafe/bar was closed for the whole time."
