Hostel Candelaria

"This was by far the best hostel I stayed at during my time in Mexico. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt incredibly welcoming and cozy, and I immediately felt comfortable there. Breakfast is included and it’s absolutely delicious. They serve traditional local dishes, and the portions are generous and very well prepared. The hostel also has an excellent location. It’s situated in a beautiful central square with food stalls around, and it’s easy to explore the area on foot or by bicycle. Another highlight was the staff, everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. I’m already feeling nostalgic about everything I experienced in Valladolid, and I’m sure that when I return, I won’t think twice about staying at La Candelaria again. Thank you to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience. Sending a big hug from Brazil!"

"i am going back. Great hostel. they have soap and a face towel in the bathrooms, many bathrooms; a home cooked different breakfast every day; fans in all the rooms; comfy hammocks to chill in. All the staff was awesome."

"Lovely hostel with perfect location on Park Candelaria just minutes from Central Plaza. Leafy garden for quality free breakfast or swinging in hammock. Bathroom facilities impeccably clean."

"All the staff were amazing friendly and super nice all the time and Edgar answered all my millions of questions happily! Great guy and made our stay wonderful! All the staff had great recommendations and gladly answered any questions. This place was super cool, clean and very nice and I really loved the environment. Peaceful and calm and staff were attentive and always helpful and treated me with respect. Thank you very very much I came back two weeks later on my second trip! "The Garden and old colonial style building. Great location near town center and at candelaria park. Plenty of street parking. Community kitchen and garden provided Hostel experience to meet other travelers or spend the day resting in a hammock. Breakfast was a nice perk."

"Our room for 3 (bunk bed with queen) was at the front adjacent to the entrance. So there was a steady stream of noise as people checked in and out, had conversations at reception and buzzed to enter the security gate. Otherwise the property was quiet and tranquil. The dorms and single rooms were in the back"

"Room was clean, lockers were spacious, bathroom was clean. The included breakfast was good (sandwich/pancakes on Sundays). There were many places to chill and relax, and they also had a kitchen and a laundry area. At night they also turned on the air-conditioning when it was really warm. The location was also good, it's a short walk away from central square and downtown. They also had drinkable water available so you didn't need to buy any."

"I loved all the green spaces - I could just hang out there all day! From the terrace to the hammocks just beautiful! I also love how helpful staff was! Wish there were more vegan options for breakfast(dairy free milk)"

"There was a fair over the weekend right in front of the hostel which was really loud so it was impossible to go to bed before 11! Also no groupchat!"
