Hotel Hidalgo
Madero 11 poniente Colonia Centro, 76000 Querétaro, Mexico
Offering dwelling units with balconies and free Wi-Fi, Inn Hidalgo is housed in a charming 19th-century mansion in Santiago de Querétaro’s old town. Set around an interior courtyard, it features an à la carte fine dining. Boutique Hotel Hidalgo’s suites have simple décor. All cozy nests have a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a fan. As it is a historical monument protected by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), elevators are not allowed in the hotel structure since they would modify its original structure. Some cozy nests may or may not have a window. Traditional Mexican cuisine is served in the La Llave Lunch Room. Guests can relish a drink in the bar or in the attractive courtyard. The Hidalgo is anchored in the center of Santiago de Querétaro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Plaza de Armas Square is a 10-minute walk away, while the town’s famous aqueduct is just 1.2 mi from the property.

Guest reviews for Hotel Hidalgo
"It was in a good location and the architecture was beautiful and very colonial mexico."
"The door and locks were not the most secure. A little bit extra lock security would have given me piece of mind."
"This is a beautiful 200 year old hotel in an ideal area in the old city centre."
"Renovated rooms. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff."
"Food in the restaurant was exelent, all the staff in the hotel super friendly and always making sure we were enjoying our meals. Front desk was super helpful, fast check in, wake up calls on time, rides to the aeropuerto exactly on time."
"Nothing to say, will be my favorite hotel all the time we visit Queretaro."
"I loved the atmosphere of the hotel when I entered because of 200 years old building. It was so exotic to me. My single room seems to be additional structure so I wasn’t really impressed with it but the room had everything I needed. So I really enjoyed my stay. The food was also good. I’ll stay here again next time!"
"Said it above, my single room wasn’t tasteful compared to the original building. But as a Japanese, I was comfortable staying in a cozy small room that had everything I needed."
"The hotel was in a great location. My room was clean and serviced every day. They are aware of the environment by offering me to reuse towels so that they have less wash waste. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was convenient and good."
"The restaurant in the courtyard was a separate entity and therefore I was not able to charge meals to my room. Noisy at night if you have a room overlooking the street."
"This is my "Go To" hotel for exploring Querétaro Centro. The location, decor, quality food and customer service are great, particularly given the reasonable price."
"Aucun."
"Location; balcony overlooking the pedestrian walkstreet."
"Too close to churches and their bells. Noise filtering in from the pedestrian walkway, and inside from the restaurant patio area. Not enough lighting."
"This is my second time staying at Hotel Hidalgo and I loved it once again! Amazing location right in the heart of Queretaro's historic center. Downstairs is their restaurant which has delicious, authentic Mexican food. We ate here numerous times during our stay. I really enjoyed having a balcony to people-watch. The room had a comfortable bed and linens, air conditioning, plenty of hot water in the shower. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay."
"I really don't have complaints! Just be advised that some rooms (especially downstairs) are closer to their restaurant area, so the noise may be a concern for some."
"The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The service and food/drinks at La Llave were just what we wanted."
"The shower stall in our room was a little small."
"Had the best dinner of my trip in Mexico @ LaLlave Restaurant (at the hotel)."
"Room was a bit small, but it was cozy."
