"you can't request a room on a lower floor in advance - and we were on the top! The advantage was we had a beautiful view and we hiked up an extra 70 stairs to get to the room each time and it was great exercise. But know this in advance if you have any physical limitations."

"This hotel has a fantastic setting with fantastic views of the bay. Both the restaurant and the bar were located above the two pools and were both very convenient."

"The hotel restaurant had only one waiter, and service was super slow. Food was good when we got it. Also, did not appreciate being up on the 6th floor. There are many steps with no handrails and tiled steps that could be slippery. We finally were able to get a room on the 3rd Floor. Aside from these things, I would still stay at this hotel because of its views and location."

"The taxi cabb mafia outside the door. I can understand to charge a little more because of the hill but 250 pesos more to go to Troncones is too much. We walked down street to get into different cheaper cab and the followed us down the hill and would not let another cab pick us up. We had to use them and pay more because we were staying at Irma."
