"It was built as a resort hotel/facility near the Uxmal archeological park. There is really no other reason people come here. Tour bus groups seemed to be the main clients. We did not use the pool or any of the spa facilities. The grounds are beautiful and made this birdwatcher quite happy. Restaurant was good as were the margaritas."

"This is a great place to stay for visiting Uxmal the following morning. When you arrive at Uxmal the moment it opens and before most tourists show up, it’s really peaceful and magical for the first two hours. This hotel is about a mile away from the site, and cheaper than the one directly adjacent to it. And it’s nice! The rooms are wonderful, there’s a swimming pool and garden area, and while you can hear some distant traffic noise it’s not intrusive. The restaurant food is kind of blah and the service is none too enthusiastic, but that’s the only reason for my less-than-10 review so don’t let that dissuade you."
