"I was confused by the statement in the email confirmation "Your reservation is paid with Booking.com". The receptionist insisted that I pay at check in, and that I had not paid at booking.com. I could not prove this, so I paid at check in. It does not appear that I was double charged, but booking.com needs to be clearer."

"They no longer have direct access to chichen itza like they used to, which was unclear (and the reason why we booked this property.) You need to drive like everyone else. Also got diarrhea from quesadilla (chorizo) at the restaurant."
