"The hostel is 10-15 minutes by car from the airport, and 15-20 minutes walking to Azaiba bus station where you can take a bus to Nizwa. It's a good place for socializing too."

"A hostel like you don’t find anymore. Everything is designed to make meeting people easy. Basil is extremely kind and always available, you can ask him for advice anytime. I met more people there in one evening than during my entire stay elsewhere. Highly recommended. Laundry available."

"Because of Basil hostel, i am able to pursue my plan to visit Oman. The place is a 10-15 mins walk to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and if your hungry, plenty of restaurants nearby"
"Just that some of the people stays doesn’t behave so well, making much noise when they know that there were people sharing the room with them."
"Good hostel with a nice atmosphere. A large living room invites you to sit down and meet lots of other travelers. You have a kitchen with all necessary utensils and a laundry facility at your disposal. Some restaurants and a supermarket are close to the hostel. The rooms have ac. The brothers who run the hostel are nice to talk to and very helpful."

"Amazing experience in Mascat thanks to Basel and his brothers that made the hostel feel like home. Always something going on in the hostel, barbecue, shared dinners, I felt welcome and met so many amazing travelers and Omanis (and Ricardo the cat !!). I am really looking for clean places after having bad experiences in the past. The dorms are very clean, you get fresh bed sheets, a locker to secure your stuff, the living room and kitchen are big and well equipped. There is also an outdoor sitting area that is the best for evening talks and tea! The hostel is located in a quiet residential area close to restaurants and stores, and 15 min ride from the airport."
