Hostels in Oman

"The room was even better than the hotel room I had from the festival I attended. Clean and fresh. The house was quite and the best thing is the owner so friendly, responding fast and so kind about the check in and out and keeping my luggae for some hours before my flight."

Everything was good. I hope just the otger guests attention to the rules.

"Very good value. Beachfront hostel. Beautiful views. Functional kitchen with helpful accessories. Hot water in shower with a quality towel provided. Comfortable beds. Fans provided but rooms can still be very warm."

The kitchen facilities are a bit tricky because one kitchen is so small (one person can fit) and the upstairs kitchen has little sitting (except outside if the weather allows).

"Nice studio and well equipped. The studio is situated in a beautiful inner garden of the house with trees which provide shade and there is a table where you can stay and drink a coffe and relax. Nice and helpful owner. Free Parking on the street. Close to public transport which takes you to the city center."

"The staff have very good receptive skills and are great people ! Then an ever smiling lady Leocardia is one of a kind and she makes the guest feel at home that you may forget you are away from home."

The approach of the owner was a bit dissatisfactory after we had been delayed at the immigration office in Chimoio.

Like everyone else said, the hill to get there is quite steep, but you do get used to it. The six bed dorm was quite spacious, but I do wish the beds were more comfortable and had curtains!

"Best location, right in the Old Town but on a rather small and calm street. Walking distance from the railway station (20 minutes), and to all interesting places in the center. Lovely restaurants and bars all around. Easy to find and to check-in digitally at late night. Only four beds in the room but still low price. From the first minute, this hostel felt welcoming and very cosy. Easy to relate to other guests, maybe because of the nice atmosphere. Kitchen very well equipped and with a large table for eating or playing games."

Textile carpeting in the dormitory. It felt clean enough, but not very easy to keep sane.

"Love the location it was near the airport 10mins by car, near all the mall and shops and gadong night market. The room and bathroom is clean."

It is on the 2nd floor, and no lift, luckily i didnt bring heavy lugage.. also the staff service is amazing they offer to help to bring the lugage.

"Place was awesome! Faris and his staff were super helpful. I had a room it was clean and comfy, the hot water shower good and the view was great! You can take a motorcycle taxi to anywhere in town for only a dollar."

"Staff & location are excellent. Everything was clean too. Lockers are free & very big. But it is a hostel, so it mostly depends upon who you get for roommates on how much you sleep, or not. Overall, would do it again."

"Perfect location, right beside the castle. There’s a path just right in front of the hostel. You can go up from there and it took about 10 minutes you’ll have the good view of the castle"

The stairs are a bit challenging, but it's part of being at water's edge.

It didn’t bother me but our room was adjacent road which has some car traffic. Closing the window blocked most traffic sound.

"University from the 1700's for crying out loud. What is not to like? Regard the incredible architectural edifices. A 15-minute walk leads to Quinpool Road where there are many shops, grocery stores, and late-night restaurants, brewpubs, and coffee shops. Bus to downtown Halifax, to and from, is a snap (# 1 down Coburg / Spring Garden Road) University dorm accom in Halifax, various campuses, is incredible value. Book EARLY though!"

My only 'grump' is the heavy banging of the entry door to the dormitory, folks coming and going and NOT being mindful to the gorilla-sized BANG of the door closing behind them. This was not an issue for me; but for my partner it most certainly was, I am not sure that anything can be done about the door itself. We DID bring this matter to the attention of the front desk-and the folks there were very understanding and in agreement. The shared bathroom / showers set-up was absolutely agreeable-no complaints.

"A very nice and atmospheric resort. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of parking spaces. There is a gazebo on site where you can barbecue and spend a nice evening. Additionally, a small playground for children. The rooms are very clean. Two toilets and 3 shower cabins per floor."
