"I like where the hotel is situated a lot good surroundings, quick access to shops and area is very easy to navigate around and close to walk tourist's visiting areas, sea close by."

"Hotel Portofoz has a lovely water view of the sea; a close walk to the beach and is also very close to the city center by bus. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and grocery/supermarket. Hotelier Jorge was very welcoming, accommodated our late check-in at close to midnight with a smile and helped my elderly mother with her luggage. Lovely nightcap of port and fascinating conversation on our last night. Jorge personally made up a complimentary continental breakfast tray of bread, cheese, jam, butter and teas for our early pre-dawn morning departure. Superb attentiveness to the little details!"

"The hotel is a stately home set on a large estate with vineyards and breathtaking views. Very peaceful and beautiful. The main building is impressive. There were lit fireplaces across the ground floor, which made the whole place feel warm and welcoming. The interiors are nicely decorated, and you can tell the house is well cared for and truly loved! I had my dog with me, and everything felt very comfortable and easy. The staff really deserve a special mention — super friendly and genuinely helpful, ready to go out of their way to assist!"
