"The facilities are very well maintained. Plenty of activities are available. Quality of food is outstanding.the bread is delicious. Great location. What I disliked is the quality of the underwater life in the area and , while many staff members were smiling and willing to make your stay very pleasant, others were very distant and cold. It is a kids-friendly hotel so if you are looking for a calm place , you may not find here what you are looking for. Overall We would chose the same place again in the Grand Baie area"

I didn't like the fact that until we got there, then utility and 10% other charges were added to the cost. Until now, i haven't figured out what exactly were considered other charges since I was charged the same thing every time I ordered at the bar and asked that it be sent to my room.

"Amazing location right on the beach. Bungalows are a bit dated but they are clean, comfortable, and the air con works great. Staff is exceptional, always willing to help you out with whatever you need. The daily breakfast is small and basic but we complemented ours with yogurt from Tina’s 24/7 market and it was perfect. The lagoon is so close, literally feet from your bungalow. The beach chairs are nice. Plenty of parking for cars or scooters. The grounds are pretty and well maintained."

The restaurant is only open on Wednesday and Saturdays so you need to go elsewhere the other nights for dinner. There are a couple of places within walking distance but you will need wheels of some kind to get to a grocery store or other dining options. WiFi works great out by the office or at the tables in the restaurant but you risk getting eaten by mozzies, wifi didn’t work very well in our bungalow.

The dive shop is always closed. Fortunately, there is an excellent one adjacent to the property and connected by a walkway. The restaurant is mediocre. The bar pool-side is closed until 5:00 pm but that’s all right because their cocktails are awful.

"Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world."

Not much but if I went again I'd maybe pay a little more for the room with ensuite shower rather than sharing a communal shower with non locking door. Obviously this is budget accommodation in West Africa so it's of the rustic eco lodge variety rather than the western style hotel room variety in case anyone is expecting that.

"This stay was one of my favourite after one month all around Guatemala. Submerged in nature this property is so peaceful and beautiful. The cabins are spacious and have everything you need plus the beds are super comfortable and it’s very clean. The pool was refreshing and the river is warm, calm in this spot and inviting. The cherry on top is the owners attentive service and incredible cooking! The food was really delicious and I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy more of everything! This was my hidden gem find on my trip."

Nothing, they have paid such close detail and thought of everything. They are clearly passionate about their property and the people who stay here.

주변에 식당이없다보니 골드카드로 갔는데 식사를 그나마 괜찮은건 마젤란이었는데 3박동안 가려니 너무 질리더라구요 사이판pic처럼 좀더 다양한 레스토랑이 있었으면 좋겠어요

City center, parks, restaurants and cafés are just a walking distance. • Staff was friendly and very helpful. • The room where we stayed was clean and has a balcony with a view on the hotel’s main entrance and a fairly big yard/parking lot between neighboring buildings."

• Breakfast could have been included in the rate. • If you have noisy neighbors/hotel mates, don’t expect expect to sleep week as walls are not sound proof. We had this issue on our first night.

"Everything. It is in a fantastic location, is immaculately maintained, has a well equipped gym and indoor and outdoor pools and a great layout. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay exceptional."

"The cabin has beautiful lake view and it’s very clean inside. My two children loved the heated swimming pool where you can buy wrist bands from reception to access. Boat rental to see the islands and to get to Risør. We have enjoyed our two nights stay."

Food was not bad at all, it was good, but not on the level of a 5 stars hotel. Staff followup was a bit too much, I know they’re trying to do their job perfectly, but it was a little much knocking on the door and phone calls.

"Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und modern eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass alles neu ist. Besonders schön: die tolle Ausstattung mit Espresso-Maschine und kostenlosem Kaffee. Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und hochwertig gestaltet. Über die Terrasse mit eigenem Strandkorb hatte man einen wunderbaren Blick Richtung Bodden – perfekt, um abends den Tag ausklingen zu lassen"

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

Le seul bémol réside dans l’humidité ambiante dans l’appartement, mais l’hôte a mis à disposition un déshumidificateur efficace et la climatisation pour diminuer les effets.

"Great hotel absolutely met our expectations. We were a big family from Cyprus (12 people), the rooms were great as described, the staff very helpful and kind always ready to help you with a smile! Great breakfast and facilities for everyone kids and adults. The pool was very big with sunbeds and supervision. Location excellent just 3-4 mins from the sea and near many shops and restaurants! Special thanks to Mrs. Eleni and all the staff there. Very kind and helpful with all our requests! Of course would like to visit again sometime in the future!"

"Our time at Waya Island was truly one of the best experiences of our lives! The resort is gorgeous and the entire staff is top notch. The room is comfortable, spacious and clean. The pool area is relaxing and beautiful. We loved the snorkeling, both swim out and a chartered boat trip. Incredible coral and sea life! The deciding factor in choosing this resort was the food reviews and they were spot on. Every meal simply blew us away. Imagine living right next to the best restaurant you’ve ever been! Delicious food beautifully prepared and impeccable service. It was heaven! We were genuinely sad to leave and are already planning a trip back."

Day trippers were the resorts focus, maybe it was the time of year. Food and drink options were not good.

"The small chalet had everything it needed for a little getaway from the city. There is a small trail leading to a forest nearby,perfect for a small hike throughout the year,when it's not the skiing season. The staff was friendly and available throughout the day."

The curtains didn’t open and close fully and bathtub stopper didn’t work. Ongoing pool & restaurant construction with no prior notification.

the food was not great. the fish was horrible. The buffett was actually excellent and we have been to many other resorts.

"All of the staff, save for one, were welcoming and helpful and wonderful. The rooms were tucked away and quiet, especially on the weekdays (there were fun, loud parties happening until late at neighboring properties on the weekend). They were clean and equipped with mosquito nets, soap, and hot water in the evenings. Also, watching the fishermen and watching the wrestling on Sunday were amazing experiences. The food was delicious and affordable, and the beach view and many available beach lounging chairs made it a very relaxing place to be."

The rooms didn't have any lockable safes and the windows looked like they'd be easy to break in to. There was no running water in our rooms some of the mornings, but I don't know if I had any accommodation anywhere in Gambia that didn't have plumbing problems. Also, while most of the staff was excellent, the daytime security guy (Jawal?) was trying too hard to be too friendly. As a young woman, I was already dealing with a lot of unwanted male attention, and you'd think the security guards would help keep me safe, but the security guard kept trying to pressure me repeatedly to take gifts from him, even after I made it clear I was not interested. Who's supposed to keep me safe from creeps when the security guy is being a creep? I hope they can hire someone better for the job, because otherwise it was a great place to stay.

"We enjoyed our stay at the bacherhof resort. We were skiing for a few days and enjoyed the breakfast and the comfortable beds. The host and the family are very nice and helpful. The location was very good for us, near kaprun /zell am see/saalbach ski areas. Hopefully I'll have the chance to get back again. Thank you for having us Miki & noga"

The cottage would have been better with a small kitchenette...and please get rid of those coffee machines as they leak water and make terrible coffee.
