Guest reviews for Hotel Timor
"Hard to find such hotel in Timor Leste. Internet connection was good enough to upload and download large size files. The breakfast menu was great. Good AC."
"The window can’t be closed completely and outside was quite noisy."
"A perfect location and fantastic decor with excellent amenities - including a fine restaurant - made Hotel Timor the perfect place to be based on a visit to Dili."
"No elevator made the visit slightly more challenging for my arthritic knees, but the staff made all things - especially movement of my luggage - quite easy and do-able."
"Lovely colonial feel, spacious well appointed rooms. Nice swimming pool area. Best thing was the friendly staff."
"WiFi was very poor so you need to organise your own data. Also the windows were a bit loose fitting and outside noise could be heard, although at night time it was quiet and wasn’t a problem."
"Breakfast selection was wonderful. Lots of local fresh fruit as well as sweet and savoury delights. Massive pool which was generally empty."
"It would be great if you could make accommodations for people with dietary requirements ie. dairy free. There was no dairy free milk on offer. The showers leak profusely as the seal in the cubicles are not to requirements. There was a lot of confusion at checkin where staff were unable to understand that I had booked two rooms for separate people. This meant unnecessary amounts of time being spent on explaining what should have been obvious"
"Greta breakfast, friendly staff. room was clean and bed comfortable nice and clean, good evening meals"
"nothign to add here"
"Comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, beautiful local artwork in the lobby. The free airport shuttle is very convenient."
"WiFi didn't always work in the room"
"Great staff. So friendly and helpful. Location was great. Walked to Tais market and the cathedral. Room was comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic."
"WiFi in the room was terrible. Worked fine in the lobby"

"My room faced the generators, so rather noisy. And a blank roof top."
"Charming lobby - spacious, lovely old vibe, comfortable chairs, soft jazz music, friendly staff. Spacious clean bedrooms. Location provided oppportunities for walking around. Lovely swimming pool area. Whole place had a nice old Timor-Leste feeling. Coffee was good. Value for money was good."
"Wifi was very poor indeed and definately needs updating. Breakfast options were very limited and were not varied."

"From where should I start, I have no idea. But to be honest, to have such a homestay in such a small town at a reasonable price is something unimaginable. It's a heaven for solo travellers since it won't break your banks. The breakfast was delicious and changed everyday, and there are vegeterian options also for both lunch and dinner. Their staff Eta and Mimi are cool and polite and will take your requests carefully. The location is bit far from the town, in a village not very far from the beach, but you can find microlets running during the school hours going towards the city. The best thing I liked was the whale-watching group tour which was very reasonably priced and I enjoyed the company of Fernando who's the owner of all DaTerra hostels. Overall, don't hesitate to stay here if you are a solo traveller. This is the best option for you."
"The resort made visiting the exceptional reefs of the island easy and very enjoyable, with an excellent dive master to guide you. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Good location on the water, but no beach."
Edward Compass Diving Resort
"Very convenient location near the ferry port, diving/snorkelling/other activities on offer, free tea/coffee all day, breakfast included, option to purchase lunch and dinner (food options are otherwise limited on the island), friendly staff who are always around to assist, beachfront location, hammocks/beach chairs to relax."
"Location and accessibility for magical snorkelling and diving. Food, varied choices and delicious. Ice cream amazing. Staff friendly, helpful and always available for any queries you may have. We had a hut on the beach, awesome. A fantastic relaxed place to stay. We will definitely return."
Nicole Atauro Dive Resort
"This is a very quiet, clean and confortable place one bloc from the national hospital. It is even possible to cook with private kitchenette with bridge and sink in the room. Room is fully equipped with tv and sitting space. Very good value."
