Bathroom was small - but would stay here again

"Excellent location and very lively, felt like a key point of attraction in the bay. Live music entertainment and decent breakfast too. Room was clean and comfortable as per described in the booking page."

Swimming pool appeared to be closed at all times despite no warning.

"The room was beautiful, spacious, the bed was heavenly, and the bathroom was enornmous. The kitchen was outfitted nicely, and the amenities were perfect."

The dryer was a little loud, so someone may want to take a look at that.

"I enjoy staying here for weekend escapes from Muscat. Very good value and wonderfully situated for excellent restaurants. Sur Sea Restaurant (about 100m away) serves some of the best South Asian food I’ve tasted. Highly recommended."

The gracious owners fixed a delicious breakfast for us and our friends, also staying on the property. The price was excellent, allowing us to stay four nights. We will definitely return—a peaceful, memorable stay!"

Nothing fancy but all needed amenities existed, everything was clean and comfortable, great for 1, would be great for two….. anymore would be a lot! The host was responsive and accommodated all my questions and needs. Will 100% be back!! Thanks for the great trip!"

"St John is a beautiful Island. This condo was clean, comfortable and enjoyed the balcony out back."

We chose not to rent a car and found it difficult to get taxi drivers who wanted to bring us to the end of the street. We tipped well, people would give us their number and then not answer. Was not the condos fault but surprised at the taxi drivers

"The apartment (2 bedroom 2 bathroom) was super comfortable, clean and spacious.The location was great - a short walk to all famous places in and around the Old Town. Different supermarkets in area. We didn’t cook but it was handy to buy some snacks/ milk / wine. There are great restaurants in the area . Close to tram/ metro which we didn’t use this time. Very nice to get clean towels and have garbage taken out. Coffee and tea was refilled every morning.Xennia and Rose who work at the reception were very friendly and answered all our questions. We arrived early and were let into apartment immediately. We will be back to this beautiful historic house ."

not the properties fault but there was a party across the street that went til 11:00 or 11:30. this would have been fine except they kept the incredibly loud music playing until 1:30 in the morning as they cleaned up.

"Overall, a really nice stay and a good value for the location. Being connected to the hostel next door was surprisingly convenient. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and luggage storage was easy. The room felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Plenty of space, and both the bed and couch were very comfortable. The staff was also incredibly friendly."

The in-room amenities were a bit sparse compared to what I expected. The WiFi was honestly very poor, which is a drawback for a place that markets itself to a coworking crowd. Also, I was charged 50% to add an extra guest despite it being a full apartment. I paid it without issue, but if I’d booked for two guests from the start, the price difference would have been negligible, if anything, so that policy felt a little off.

The road leading to this accommodation is not asphalt, so driving or walking can be challenging.

On evenings, in a beatch can hear music from a nearby hotel (guess that could be an issue in all sunny beatch)

the distance of the room to the parking which is not ideal for loading and unloading if it is raining specifically if you are rushing to catch flight. Maybe if a covered walkway will help.

No cleaning service, no mosquito screens on the windows

"The location is close to the subway and JR train, an near a supermarket. We stayed for 5 nights and someone came to clean the bathrooms and living room area mid-way through our stay which was fantastic. But best of all, the owner Mamo-san was exceptional. My brother’s baby who was traveling with us assisted them to the clinic and even finding medicine. Even after we checked out and found we left something, he was willing to have it shipped to us. He went above and beyond. I was going to give a perfect score just for the place itself but if i could give more for the service, I would!"

"Our second stay at Mer can story. Fabulous location. Nice spacious rooms, small kitchen area so we could prepare breakfast and eat on our balcony. The staff are kind and helpful. During local power cut this property had a generator. We will choose this hotel again"
