"Really glad I came across Residence Agbebivi. I needed a place close to the Togo-Benin border and this place in Aneho is perfect. The air conditioning was nice, spacious room, even had a living room, and a restaurant on site which I had for dinner. Easy to find as it's right off the main N2 road. The owner/manager Anthony greeted me at the entrance and was so helpful throughout my stay. I highly recommend!"

We chose not to rent a car and found it difficult to get taxi drivers who wanted to bring us to the end of the street. We tipped well, people would give us their number and then not answer. Was not the condos fault but surprised at the taxi drivers

"Overall, a really nice stay and a good value for the location. Being connected to the hostel next door was surprisingly convenient. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and luggage storage was easy. The room felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Plenty of space, and both the bed and couch were very comfortable. The staff was also incredibly friendly."

The in-room amenities were a bit sparse compared to what I expected. The WiFi was honestly very poor, which is a drawback for a place that markets itself to a coworking crowd. Also, I was charged 50% to add an extra guest despite it being a full apartment. I paid it without issue, but if I’d booked for two guests from the start, the price difference would have been negligible, if anything, so that policy felt a little off.

not the properties fault but there was a party across the street that went til 11:00 or 11:30. this would have been fine except they kept the incredibly loud music playing until 1:30 in the morning as they cleaned up.

There were many cars passing from that road making some noise. But I can't complain since the building is located in a Busy road.

"Breakfast was more than we expected. The range of cereals, fruit, juices, teas, bread for toast, milk etc was more than we anticipated. The fruit was wonderfully fresh and delicious. There was certainly plenty for all tastes. the location of the breakfast food was easy to access, with a great choice of where to sit and eat both under cover outside or within the dining room."

"The host picked me up at the store and the store is only a five minute walk her place is off the main highway so you just have to stand on the side of the road to catch a bus was a comfortable little cabin for your own"

"I enjoy staying here for weekend escapes from Muscat. Very good value and wonderfully situated for excellent restaurants. Sur Sea Restaurant (about 100m away) serves some of the best South Asian food I’ve tasted. Highly recommended."

Some basic amenities were missing like hair dryer or lamps on night stands. Too few parking spaces for the number of guests. No AC.

"They have ample parking spaces. Although during our stay it was snowing, they always took care of the driveway and parking spaces. The host was very friendly and helpful."

WiFi is only available in the lobby. While this is stated in advance I do consider that in 2026 there is little reason not to buy a couple of additional access points to cover the rooms. This was particularly annoying since our room did not have proper cell signal so we couldn’t use the data plan either. There is a sauna place which is great, and it functions with prior 1 hour slot booking. But there are no sufficient notices on the door and no keys. So either keep the sauna open for everyone, or get some sort of key in place. It’s not comfortable asking other people who enter to go away because you booked the sauna.

"We love the area, close to the ocean, the view is fantastic. We lived in Trou deau Douce 25 years ago at Valmarin. It was wonderful to be back and these apartments has so much potential, but unfortunately it’s not taking care of. The cleaning lady was very kind."

The apartments weren’t cleaned when we arrived. The underfloor apartment was full of black mold. The pool is not taking care of. No sunbeds. You could easily do a quick renovation, do some painting and take care of these apartments and it would be wonderful. Now we love this area and has lot of friends in Trou deau Douce so we wanted to stay there. We had no contact with the owners, they didn’t answer us, but the housekeeper/cleaning lady was nice and answered, she come and clean when we asked for it.

We didn’t cook but it was handy to buy some snacks/ milk / wine. There are great restaurants in the area . Close to tram/ metro which we didn’t use this time. Very nice to get clean towels and have garbage taken out. Coffee and tea was refilled every morning.Xennia and Rose who work at the reception were very friendly and answered all our questions. We arrived early and were let into apartment immediately. We will be back to this beautiful historic house ."

"It was sparse, but very clean. It is a cinder block building so sounds didn’t carry from other rooms or floors."

There was no trash can in the bathroom.

Not a dislike but lack of a fridge and safe. Especially a safe would be helpful in the room. It was also strange to not have a blanket/duvet ready on the bed. Upon request, a blanket was brought.

Location: far away from major attractions, bad road on the route. No shops around. Credit card payment wasn’t working at the time of checkout. Food and drinks are extremely expensive and too simple (no realistic alternatives since it is in the middle of nowhere; bottle of water 3.5 times more expensive then in the town and 1.75 times more expensive than in the airport). No a/c. No windows in the room. Quite rustic. Hordes of mosquitoes. Very strict check out time at 10:00am.
