Campgrounds in Mongolia

"Es war genau die kleine Auszeit, die ich gebraucht habe. Der Wagen war gemütlich, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet – man hat sofort gemerkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Besonders schön war die ruhige Atmosphäre auf dem Platz. Ich habe die Stille und das Meeresrauschen sehr genossen, konnte endlich einmal richtig ausschlafen und bei langen Spaziergängen über die Insel abschalten. Abends auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, zu grillen und den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten, war jedes Mal ein Highlight. Vielen Dank auch für deine freundliche Art und die unkomplizierte Kommunikation – das hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Ich komme sehr gern wieder und empfehle den „Lieblingsplatz“ mit bestem Gewissen weiter."

Das einzige kleine Manko war die etwas dünne Matratze im Bauwagrn.

"A very authentic experience, with typical Mongolian food and a real traditional ger. The manager was very helpful in setting up activities and transportation and speaks good English. We especially enjoyed the home visit and the Eagle."

Beds are pretty hard—I was glad I had a camping mattress with me. Showers were hot but low pressure. It’s not a luxury resort but it was wonderfully relaxing.

"Everything was excellent, clean rooms, comfy bed, clean bathroom and the host was great. They helped us to get to know the area, told us what we can do or not do and many many advices. The greatest thing is that the is very remote at the countryside and they have quad bikes for rent. Believe me, there is the best place where you ever rode a quad bike."

The shower exhaust fan was weak, so after a hot shower there will be water condensation everywhere in the bathroom.

"Really nice getaway place. Calm area, beautiful beach, not crowded. Caravans are old but still do their magic. Was a great experience to stay a night there."

At the beginning it smelled humidity/mold, but with a/c working it was gone

"The property was cozy and clean. Cabin was nice and warm on cold days. Clean bathrooms! Really lovely to stay here. It’s a camp but I stayed for business. Service was extremely friendly and the breakfast was unreal. Pick your pannenkoenen and enjoy. I mean just a fantastic way to start the day."

Bathrooms are detached and a little cramped, but that is really what was advertised and also it’s supposed to be a camp, so having a warm shower is actually a bonus. Reminder they are nice and clean. I didn’t feel a need for shower shoes, it was cleaner than my hotel bathroom that I stayed in the night before.

The bathtub was a small one, considering all the extra space they have. Could have put a normal bathtub. Also the sofa was extremely old.

"The caravan is in a great location for exploring the island, away from touristy areas, noise, and crowds. It’s not very big, but it has everything you need. Dominique was truly kind and helpful."

"The camping is an amazing green, natural location, where you can enjoy the nature at its fullest. Yves and Malika are very kindhearted and welcoming people, that gave us a feeling of immediately feeling welcome. The tents/beds are comfortable, although the strong winds let it shake strongly, but everything went well. You can make a nice hike down to the river."

In the morning we had no electricity and that is quite necessary for charging phones. There was only one warm cover and one sofa set, which makes it difficult to use when there are also other people around. An extra sofa and some extra warm covers would come in handy, while it is quite fresh at night.

I would like more lighting on the street.

"This is the most serene lodging experience. The hosts were accommodating, letting us store our baggage before our arrival since we were traveling by bicycle. The location is superb with two pathways to the sea, a restaurant on site, and friendly goats around. I would choose this place again and again."
