I didn't like that some guests were smoking in the public area, it's not possible according to the rules in the UAE. The washing machine and the fritz are sharing one plug, it's completely unbelievable why this Small problem was not taken care of a long time ago. The tap in the bathroom has a hole so the water is being sprayed all over the place. This is clearly a proof of bad leadership in this company when small things can't be fixed 😔 The staff Fayas is doing a good job keeping the place clean, and are always smiling 😊

"You literally only have to cross a small road and you are right on the beach, less than 100 meters from the Indian Ocean - and just a short walk to Tofo market with all the nice restaurants and bars. Perfect location, not too busy or noisy. Great value for money, friendly staff."

"Great value for the money. We had bug net on windows and around the bed. Hot water in the shower, you can see the ocean from the roof. Street is not busy, can park car next to a hotel door. Overall I'm really happy with my stay."

Male shared bathroom needs a some hooks to hang clothes while using the bathroom.

The bathrooms were a little messy and did not have great quality. Some parts were just dated overall. Not too much to complain about.

I had a couple of noisy roommates who snored but otherwise it was ok.

"Pros - location right in old town was great. Rooms were clean and spacious (for a hostel) and the facilities were better than expected. It is in an old house and my private room had a balcony over the garden. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean with good hot water. Lots of shared spaces. The bar had reasonable food and was a good place to hang out in the evening. This was one of the better hostels I've used in Latin America. I had a private room, so can't speak for the dorms. Was quiet after 11 pm. I loved this hostel."

Cons - not much. Colonia is an expensive place to stay so the value for money was quite good. The hallway carpets could use a good cleaning, or at least a vacuum but there was construction happening in a room nearby so that might explain the dirt.

It is on the 2nd floor, and no lift, luckily i didnt bring heavy lugage.. also the staff service is amazing they offer to help to bring the lugage.

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."
