Chalets in Portugal

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

"Very beautiful place to stay in nature. It has most things one need for a short stay. It’s very good for its price. Also clean nice towels and sheets available."

There is no shampo and hand wash there.

"Nice house in quiet neighbourhood, hostess was very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for our group of four people. We had a hired car and from the house had easy access to Chobe park gate for a drive and to the river for a boat cruise. For those without a vehicle the host is able to book excursions."

"A wonderful place for us to walk from the door, we did 62 miles in 6 days. The pool and location is stunning. Total privacy and if you like birds and walking it’s spot on. We got our cupra estate up the track nada problemo. We would struggle to find somewhere so beautiful and special as this. Lovely BBQ area. We saw golden orioles and Hoopoes from the balcony. A brilliant week away and we loved walking in the hills and on the rambla into Albanchez for lunch. Aguilas for a day is always ace too if you want the beach."

Wifi was slow, but that is basically the biggest complain. It's nothing. We weren't there for WIFI anyway.

"Great location for hiking & walking distance to the chairlift Zbyszek which takes you to to the top of Kopa. Very specious, clean, cozy and well-equipped mountain log cabin with a great view! Mrs. Malgosia was super nice and accommodating - we had late check in and very late check out with no issues. Free parking is a bonus. Great stay! highly recommended."

A lovely view over the water to Tory Island (you can see the flash of the lighthouse at night), a short walk to the beautiful long sandy beach with a pub for meals a two minute walk away. We liked the space (two bedrooms) and the well stocked kitchenette. The cabin was warm and clean."

It is not easy to communicate with the owners, English is a bit of a problem... The kitchen space is quite limitated.

How close the cabins are to each other… Had a big family next to us that was loud out on their deck.

"Clean, tidy, has everything you need. Stunning view right from the window. It is on the hiking trails. The restaurant is nice, wallet friendly and hypersonically fast. The staff are very kind and welcoming. I will definitely come back. (Bring your own little water heater, when you come.)"
