"We loved this place! We received a nice welcome from the family and their pets. Their cows and sheep were also welcoming. Our room was incredibly clean, and seemed brand new. It was also extremely comfortable, and well stocked. The view was incredible! We love the views from both of the rooms we have booked. We enjoyed walking around the lake as well, and playing fetch with their dog Iva. Breakfast the next morning was very yummy. We especially liked being able to make soft boiled eggs. Also the homemade syrup and apple juice are very tasty. In addition to all of the other yummy breakfast food."

I got a room in rhe endcof the corridor very few guests so the hot water didn't come before I stopped showering. But no big deal.

"Perfect location to explore the old town of San Marino. Walking around to the cable car. There was another family staying there so it was a bit awkward with them using the same front door and walking past our room. It meant our bathroom and living area were not as private as they could have been. But as we were mostly out exploring it didn't bother us much. Very friendly hosts who explained everything. We didn't find the aircon despite it listing it had it...."

"It is conveniently located in the center of St. Thomas downtown, near Vendors Plaza, Emancipation Park, and many shops and restaurants. The value for the dollar is excellent, it is clean and well furnished, provides a continental breakfast, and has amazing views."

"This was such a perfect room for me. Spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable bed, really nice hot shower. And the location is unbeatable. Right in the heart of Thamel, with everything within a few minutes walk, yet the hotel itself felt hidden and private. The best part though were the kind staff and the hotel manager. Everyone in Nepal so far has been kind and friendly, but they were above and beyond. And the breakfast on the rooftop with the little mini garden all around. That was the top! I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Kathmandu."

Not many busses per day. A car would be helpful but there are excursions the Auberge will book for you and many beautiful walks. No grocery stores nearby.

"The Manager handled EVERYTHING for me from car rental, directions to my many inquiries, set up a massage appointment for me...ECT, from the moment I landed on the island until I got on the plane to leave 🏝️I could not have been happier than with these people & this location! Thank you so very much Kurtz ... It was perfect for exploring the East side beaches and restaurants of the Island from & and just few minutes from the airport but you never heard planes flying over that area!. Car Needed!!"

"Location is ok, 10 minutes walk to Somerset MRT station. Cleanness was ok, not spotted but acceptable. Air conditioning worked well. As the cheapest private room with private bathroom in the whole city this place is worth its price. Good contact with owner via whatsapp. I would come back."

The owner does not treat this place like a hotel, so for example, toilet paper is replaced by the guests themselves.

"Everything was amazing. They kindly offered us to pick us up from the train station. Once we reached the hotel they also offered us a room upgrade free of charge. The room was amazing and the staff made sure to make our experience unforgetable. On our last day in Shangri La they also offered us a late check out and kindly drove us to the train station for our departure. Our overall experience was nothing but amazing. Many thanks!"

"Great stay - location was close enough to Savonlinna but not in the town, close to national parks. There's a tennis court and sauna and row boats. Honestly we easily could have stayed for much longer both at and around the property. Also the owner was super helpful and had good recommendations all around the area"

Bevare with the taxi drivers, especially near the public transport area, they are basically criminals. (Nothing to do with this with the property/staff tho, this is a completely different problem.)

"Great breakfast and I like that it was a la carte. I can't say enough about it nor about the staff. Everyone was very courteous, professional, helpful, and accommodating. I also loved the location, only a few minutes from Palais Sans-Souci and Citadelle."

The air conditioning was rationed a bit much

"Essa foi a melhor estadia q ja fiquei em São Paulo, a marli é um amor, seu esposo tbm é super receptivo, o quarto é bem confortável e muito limpo, o banheiro tbm é muito limpo, a casa é aconchegante e familiar, sem falar na localização q é ótima, próximo ao mercado e ao metrô. Fiquei a vontade e me sentindo em casa mesmo,a marli tbm prepara um café da manhã com muito carinho ,eu e meu esposo com certeza voltaremos em outras oportunidades."

We were the only people staying for some of the nights we were there as it was late in the season, but they always made sure to make a delicious, huge breakfast just for us. The manager also looked after our rental car for a night while we hiked to Valbona and stayed there. The double room was nice and had a nice balcony. Would highly recommend!"

Check-in must be done in the hotel nearby. It would have been much better to know that at forehand, before standing at a closed door with al our luggage. Of course there's an option to do it all by some app but I'm still not ready to surrender my whole life to a smartphone.

The small rooms are really small. A bed and a fridge and very little space left. Every floor has 2 larger rooms, they are better.

"The room is clean. Free wifi is provided. They are also running izakaya (Japanese-style bar), you can have dinner in the property and can buy alcoholic beverages from them. Bike, snorkeling gear and floats can be rented. When I stayed at this inn, a girl from the UK was working, some of the workers speak English."

"Location was excellent, close to the river - and the overall vibe was great. It feels like you're really in the jungle, with lots of interesting birds and even warthogs coming to visit. The bar and pool area were very enjoyable. The river cruise was also fantastic. I love that it left right from the hotel's dock."

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. The ramp up to the bar area becomes extremely slippery when wet and I saw one guest fall while using it. It definitely needs to have thin planks of wood added to it to provide grip. The food was okay - the meat a bit chewy and the ingredients did not taste super fresh. The breakfast, however, was great. Be prepared to use mosquito spray!
