I did not like the fact that there was no bathroom in the dorm rooms. The toilets and showers were right next to the dorms but still, you had to go outside to get to them.

"Pros - location right in old town was great. Rooms were clean and spacious (for a hostel) and the facilities were better than expected. It is in an old house and my private room had a balcony over the garden. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean with good hot water. Lots of shared spaces. The bar had reasonable food and was a good place to hang out in the evening. This was one of the better hostels I've used in Latin America. I had a private room, so can't speak for the dorms. Was quiet after 11 pm. I loved this hostel."

Cons - not much. Colonia is an expensive place to stay so the value for money was quite good. The hallway carpets could use a good cleaning, or at least a vacuum but there was construction happening in a room nearby so that might explain the dirt.

"Well located hostel just by Tavolucci bus stop, which meets Rimini shuttle. Very nice man running the place, does his best to answer any question. Ask him for directions to old town; there's a way up that'll keep you mostly off the dangerous roads, which lack any shoulder. Place has good kitchen, comfortable common area. Limited but enough hot water in showers. Very grateful for this budget option in San Marino, which can be pricey."

Freezing cold at night in dorm. It was warm just outside in hallway, so I don't know what the secret is to getting that into the room. Also, would be nice, more efficient, to have male dorm and let the guys use the three-shower room, rather than letting women lock it for one. Make one of the en suites the female dorm. Odd to pay for linens; just add to price. No outlets in dorm, but understandable in old building.

"We loved how quaint & authentic the decor was. I felt I was in Peru & not in an American cookie cutter hotel. We were warmly greeted by the hotel staff. They fixed our TV issues quickly. Gave us bottled water & candy. Very nice breakfast including scrambled eggs! We were near the bluffs so an easy walk. Also to walk to the Indian Market was about 20-30 minutes, a decent stroll."

Construction next door was going on but stopped by 500pm. No air conditioning but was provided a fan which worked out to be fine

"Everything was great in the hostel itself, but the best part was that before I arrived in Vietnam I texted them to arrange tours for me to ha long bay, ninh binh, and ha giang loop, and they arranged everything for me and everything went GREAT. The ha giang loop was amazing. Everything went so smoothly and perfectly. So, if you are not sure where to book it and coming in this hostel, they’ll do it for you and you won’t regret it."

Acoustics. You could hear everything. No AC in my room, but it wasn't necessary either as it was not a very hot day.

"I stayed for 5 days and had a great experience. The room was clean and had hot water, which I really appreciated! While the location might feel a little far from the city center for some, it’s still walkable (about 20–30 minutes on foot), and it was perfect for me since I planned to travel by train later. I also needed to work for several hours and the wifi connection worked perfectly fine! The staff were incredibly supportive—helping with airport pick-ups/drop-offs and even recommending local restaurants. Breakfast was included and quickly became one of the highlights of my stay. I especially loved that it was served in a ger in the dining area—such a unique touch!"

"The Host was so welcoming with great communication and ensured that I was taken care of even when my flight was delayed and I ended up arriving way later that I had initially communicated. She is a 10/10 host. The security is really good in the property. The location is central. A great place if you are looking for a simple place to rest your head before onward travel."

The place wasn’t up to my personal cleanliness standards, though others who are less particular might find it perfectly fine for a night’s stay

"Friendly and accommodating staff and management. Relaxing areas on the property to dine, relax and work. Not far from Central Zomba."

Our room was very small, the bed took up most of the floor space. However, this has to be balanced with the amount we paid.

It was quite cold in the room, maybe it would be a good idea to provide extra blankets :)

"The room, bathrooms and shared areas were very clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was great, right in the middle of Papeete near the port. I really enjoyed my stay."

The bed was a little hard for me as a side sleeper.

"The common area always had other travelers to meet and the staff was nice. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. The location is just a short walk to the main tourist sites of the city."

The beds were quite uncomfortable. Mosquito nets full of holes. Understandably the building and windows are old but need to have appendages added to be able to prop them open because there is no airflow and pretty stuffy and smelly rooms.

"The security and cleanliness were phenomenal. I also loved having a large area to hang out and relax or grab a drink without going down to a pub was wonderful. Staff were always helpful and kind as well!"

Prices were a little expensive, but that was totally understandable given the high quality of the place and the amenities that were provided.

"location is good. Know my way in that area, it is the third time I was in Jongno district. economical, good staff, clean and safe place. There is a kitchen area if one wishes to use. everything are close by"

I am not expecting anymore than what I got. convenient location, quiet, comfortable hide out, what more should I expected. hot and cold potable water through out the building there is not anything I did not like.

"I loved it here so much I stayed 11 nights. Amazing kitchen (but a fridge that never seems to get cleaned). A lovely river walk is right outside the campground. Great volunteers and cute dogs."

My tent didn’t close completely so who knows what animals could’ve visited me in the night. My room was never cleaned in the 11 days and I had to ask for a change of linens midway through.

When it is busy with pepole is really hard to get warm water in the shower

"They price was amazing. You cannot find such a low privacy anywhere else in Lahore Pakistan. If we compare the price and facilities, it was totally worth the money."

I think they need to improve on water heating.

"The beds were clean and had mosquito nets. The room was spacious with only 4 beds. There's an AC in the room and 2 fans. The location is good; it's like a village on the western side of the city. It is safe even walking at night. There are small shops nearby. You can buy basic stuff and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. The beaches are 15-20 minutes walking or 5 min by tuktuk. The fast ferry to the airport is just 10 min walking distance. The staff were ok and helpful. The view from the balcony is great. It's the cheapest place in town. In fact it's the only hostel in Freetown on Booking.com. They have a generator in case of power cuts. The wifi is fast."

The toilet needs a bit of cleaning and maintenance. There's no hot water and the water pressure is weak. The generator is right under the dorm window; very loud. But still; you get what you pay for. A basic hotel in the area is 3-4 times more expensive.

"Excellent value for money and very clean. A big plus is that the staff speak English, which isn't very common in Mindelo. Just a heads-up: after booking, you’ll receive a message from the hotel asking for a deposit/guarantee."

No complaints! I think this hostel should be rated more highly than it is. Would stay here again and would recommend others to stay here.

"Great location and good value. Very well organized with refrigeration bins and cabinets for kitchen use and extra large storage lockers in the room."

The kitchen facilities are a bit tricky because one kitchen is so small (one person can fit) and the upstairs kitchen has little sitting (except outside if the weather allows).
