"I arrived late and the taxi driver was unsure of the location. However the owner ( manager) came out to meet us and showed me the cabin, there was a language barrier as I don’t speak French, however with the help of google translate this was overcome. The breakfast was good and plentiful with egg, dates, yoghurt and bread with a juice and coffee. The owner was very helpful despite the language, the cabins are functional and good fun and first thing I walked (30 seconds) to the beautiful beach at sunrise!"

"Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Kleines praktisches Zimmer mit kleinem Badezimmer(chen) zu einem angemessenen Preis. Bei Buchung wurde auf das kleine Badezimmer hingewiesen. Sehr bequemes Bett mit offenen Bettende und guter Matratze. Sehr ruhig. Frühstück mit verschiedener Wurst, Käse und Marmeladen und Gebäck. Vermieterin sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich."

Das kleine Badezimmer(chen) ist wirklich sehr klein. Ist aber kein Kritikpunkt, weil es wurde bei der Buchung schon drauf hingewiesen.

Seating at the coffee shop could use a good cleaning but the coffee shop itself is great. Little tough to find the property the first time.

"The hostess was so kind and caring and professional. She answered questions, brought hot water for tea to our room, and met all of needs. The room was large, warm, nicely decorated with lots of blankets, lots of hot water both in the shower and the hand basin. The place was spotless. We ate dinner there twice and it was excellent, breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit"

"I loved how peaceful the place was and how helpful the staff were! The location is right on the water which made it perfect if you want to go on a boat tour or to see the Shoebills"

I found the dinner to be very expensive for what it was and they did not say the cost up front which was a dissapointment

"Everything was perfect, very comfortable bed , clean , perfect location for north lights, 12 minutes from Vik town and grocery store “ Kronan “ close to the “ black beach”highly recommended."

Thin walls. There were noises from other people in the corridor/bathrooms/doors. The room could use a little decoration for cozier feeling.

"Loved the people and the views! The water pressure was amazing in the shower. The hosts Maura and Greg are very kind and do their best to help make sure your stay is amazing."

It’s a little far outside from the main part of town. There is no bus that goes to the dudeks nest so you have to find rides which sometimes can be a little tricky. Sometimes the wild chickens are loud in the mornings.

"The way they treated me is out of my expectations. They understood my situation of flights cancellation, modification and of course my financial changes. I really loved the staff, cleaning, friendly environment, cooking facilities and much more. Suggests everyone to come and enjoy luxurious facilities at low cost. Hats off to Penthouse Hotel."

Their is nothing i can assume to be bad. Everything was above my expectations. Everyone should try it at least. No one will say that they found something bad on this hotel.

"Big home with lots of great common space and very comfy room! The owners are lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious! They gave us some great suggestions about things to do for several days on our way back to Denver and we have loved their recommendations!!"

"Everything was fantastic! Food was more than enough and delicious. The family was super friendly. I stayed 2 nights, and I really wanted to stay more, but I had to move on other countries. I hope I can come back in the future"

It is addictive.. You will want to stay more and more:/

Keine Handtücher. Toilettenpapier wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Heizung im Zimmer ließ sich nicht zurückdrehen.

What didn't we like about the place? Hmm. If we have to think about it, then what is the point? Place was great!

"Excellent location in the center of town, if one wishes to stay in this area (which was my case). Large room, clean, no noise at all, and very safe. Air conditioning works very well. The common area is excellent, which large common space, full of African art. They also provide tasty meals, at affordable prices. Staff is very kind and helpful."

My room's ceiling fan did not work well. The shower's faucet is not that great, and it is often hard to get the shower's temperature right.

Unfortunately there was a power cut during our stay and in the absence of a generator we were left with no light or water for the evening.

"Kai, the girl in the reception is a sweetheart Beds are fine, bathrooms too. Aircon works fine. There is a breakfast area with a toaster and free coffee and tea."

The small rooms are really small. A bed and a fridge and very little space left. Every floor has 2 larger rooms, they are better.

"I loved the modern style, it felt sleek, comfortable, and it was thoughtfully designed."

Everything was great, The only small suggestion would be to offer either thicker blankets or a cozy duvet for extra comfort for those who likes to sleep with the air conditioning but gets super cold easily 😅

Power cuts in the city make rooms warm, there is loud music from the bar next door on Fridays and Saturdays.

"Good and quiet location. Positive was parking in the yard, rooms were spacious."

The only downside was that the restaurant was closed due to the holidays.

"Felt like staying at someone else's house, after a long walk through open fields, narrow passageways and poor lighting at night, it felt rewarding to stay at. The staff were very nice."
