Prices were a little expensive, but that was totally understandable given the high quality of the place and the amenities that were provided.

"I stayed for 5 days and had a great experience. The room was clean and had hot water, which I really appreciated! While the location might feel a little far from the city center for some, it’s still walkable (about 20–30 minutes on foot), and it was perfect for me since I planned to travel by train later. I also needed to work for several hours and the wifi connection worked perfectly fine! The staff were incredibly supportive—helping with airport pick-ups/drop-offs and even recommending local restaurants. Breakfast was included and quickly became one of the highlights of my stay. I especially loved that it was served in a ger in the dining area—such a unique touch!"

I didn't like the messiness of the place. Overall quite chaotic building with construction sites and no comfortable shared space. There is a great rooftop, but is not really used and fully available for guests yet.

In addition, the location of the hostel is very conveniently placed, and the other people staying there were delightful. All in all, my stay was 10/10! If I come back to the Faroe Islands this place will be my first choice!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the city center or the central train/bus station, the room was clean/comfortable, the guest kitchen upstairs had a really cool/pretty setup (along with everything you need to cook dinner), and the various common areas on the ground floor (including an outdoor courtyard) were comfortable and inviting. Different artists contributed to the design of each room, so they're all different, which is pretty unique! We stayed for 4 nights and found the space would have been suitable for either a shorter or longer stay."

It was a bit strange at first to be staying in a remodeled prison cell, but it's actually a really good idea for how to repurpose these spaces! There were only two toilets/showers in the women's restroom, which was fine for a stay in early March, but I could imagine there would be lines at a busier time of year. Our room had a round loft bed with ladders on both sides, which might not be suitable for someone with a fear of heights (but other rooms have a different setup).

Acoustics. You could hear everything. No AC in my room, but it wasn't necessary either as it was not a very hot day.

"Vibes were great, bathrooms were clean, laundry was efficient, and the staff was hella friendly. Great place to mingle too, and in a great neighborhood that was observing Ramadan at the time."

I stayed in the room at the very top of the building, so you could hear some kind of generator outside the walls the whole night. So there was some noise. Unsure if from inside or a neighbor.

The beds were quite uncomfortable. Mosquito nets full of holes. Understandably the building and windows are old but need to have appendages added to be able to prop them open because there is no airflow and pretty stuffy and smelly rooms.

"Riad is beautiful and is very comfortable with all kinds of amenities. You can easily spend the whole day inside if you wanna take a break from the hustle bustle. I took services like facial massage and full body massage. They were very well delivered. The staff is friendly and helping. Definitely recommend it."

Rooms on the lower floors can be slightly noisy since they’re right in from of the pool but the people were very respectful so didn’t have much trouble.

Lots of stairs. As others have said the entrance is not great.

"Rubens and his staff were excellent, they were kind and welcoming. I also went on Rubens wine tour, which was informative and enabled me to see severla key locations outside of the capital city. The private room I had was clean and pleasant and I had a good stay."
