"Very clean rooms with air conditioning at a very reasonable price a bit low in my opinion. The parking is also gated with code access which makes you feel very secure about your car. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with any queries."

Location is great as it's located in the community area and not in the national park yet it's close to everything you will want to visit during your stay. I also love that they're so organised with tours they provided good information and hade competitive rates if not the best rates in the area. The service was on point from the moment I arrived until checkout. The food so delicious! I stayed in a cottage with a balcony, the view was super, I highly recommend those rooms. Be aware that Google routes you on the road on the other side is the river from Konjic but you can’t go through on that road because the road is closed when you reach some type of facility.

Prices were a little expensive, but that was totally understandable given the high quality of the place and the amenities that were provided.

"I came from Mumbai to Addis Ababa, then took a bus from Addis to Bahir Dar. This hostel was a gem with the value you pay. I asked them to buy the return bus ticket, pick up to the bus station in the early morning and they happily did. The best part was they helped me get an excellent tour package of the Lake Tana and the Blue Niles Waterfall, with very good price for one day, as I was tight with my schedule. The tour went very well with excellent and safe vehicles (car and boat), great guides, and all important places. The room I got has a queen size bed, shower and toilet attached, with good privacy and cleanliness. I stayed two nights and will do it again when I have a chance.Please support this property as well as the Bahir Dar. They are waiting and very happy to serve you to the best of their abilities."

"The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, the facilities are clean and well kept, and Felix the cat will cuddle with you if you let him! In addition, the location of the hostel is very conveniently placed, and the other people staying there were delightful. All in all, my stay was 10/10! If I come back to the Faroe Islands this place will be my first choice!"

"Pros - location right in old town was great. Rooms were clean and spacious (for a hostel) and the facilities were better than expected. It is in an old house and my private room had a balcony over the garden. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean with good hot water. Lots of shared spaces. The bar had reasonable food and was a good place to hang out in the evening. This was one of the better hostels I've used in Latin America. I had a private room, so can't speak for the dorms. Was quiet after 11 pm. I loved this hostel."

Cons - not much. Colonia is an expensive place to stay so the value for money was quite good. The hallway carpets could use a good cleaning, or at least a vacuum but there was construction happening in a room nearby so that might explain the dirt.

"The common area always had other travelers to meet and the staff was nice. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. The location is just a short walk to the main tourist sites of the city."

The beds were quite uncomfortable. Mosquito nets full of holes. Understandably the building and windows are old but need to have appendages added to be able to prop them open because there is no airflow and pretty stuffy and smelly rooms.

Our room was very hot. There was a little fan but unless we had the door open it did little to cool the room.
