The kitchen facilities are a bit tricky because one kitchen is so small (one person can fit) and the upstairs kitchen has little sitting (except outside if the weather allows).

"I really enjoyed the location and the breakfast included (though it was small). The price was low for a more expensive country, so that is always a bonus. The staff was very friendly and communicated clearly."

The bathrooms were a little messy and did not have great quality. Some parts were just dated overall. Not too much to complain about.

I stayed in the room at the very top of the building, so you could hear some kind of generator outside the walls the whole night. So there was some noise. Unsure if from inside or a neighbor.

"Pros - location right in old town was great. Rooms were clean and spacious (for a hostel) and the facilities were better than expected. It is in an old house and my private room had a balcony over the garden. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean with good hot water. Lots of shared spaces. The bar had reasonable food and was a good place to hang out in the evening. This was one of the better hostels I've used in Latin America. I had a private room, so can't speak for the dorms. Was quiet after 11 pm. I loved this hostel."

Cons - not much. Colonia is an expensive place to stay so the value for money was quite good. The hallway carpets could use a good cleaning, or at least a vacuum but there was construction happening in a room nearby so that might explain the dirt.

"The hostel is centrally located. The hostel is clean and located in a quiet place. The hostess Giselle was exceptionally kind and welcoming."

Our room was very small, the bed took up most of the floor space. However, this has to be balanced with the amount we paid.

"You literally only have to cross a small road and you are right on the beach, less than 100 meters from the Indian Ocean - and just a short walk to Tofo market with all the nice restaurants and bars. Perfect location, not too busy or noisy. Great value for money, friendly staff."

"The beds were clean and had mosquito nets. The room was spacious with only 4 beds. There's an AC in the room and 2 fans. The location is good; it's like a village on the western side of the city. It is safe even walking at night. There are small shops nearby. You can buy basic stuff and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. The beaches are 15-20 minutes walking or 5 min by tuktuk. The fast ferry to the airport is just 10 min walking distance. The staff were ok and helpful. The view from the balcony is great. It's the cheapest place in town. In fact it's the only hostel in Freetown on Booking.com. They have a generator in case of power cuts. The wifi is fast."

The toilet needs a bit of cleaning and maintenance. There's no hot water and the water pressure is weak. The generator is right under the dorm window; very loud. But still; you get what you pay for. A basic hotel in the area is 3-4 times more expensive.

"Great value for the money. We had bug net on windows and around the bed. Hot water in the shower, you can see the ocean from the roof. Street is not busy, can park car next to a hotel door. Overall I'm really happy with my stay."

The showers can be a bit bigger, but not an issue.

I am not expecting anymore than what I got. convenient location, quiet, comfortable hide out, what more should I expected. hot and cold potable water through out the building there is not anything I did not like.

Be aware that Google routes you on the road on the other side is the river from Konjic but you can’t go through on that road because the road is closed when you reach some type of facility.

"Excellent location! Near beaches and also quiet. Close to Jijel (an easy bus ride) yet also far enough away that it felt like a small town--quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again! Staff was so helpful and friendly."
