"University from the 1700's for crying out loud. What is not to like? Regard the incredible architectural edifices. A 15-minute walk leads to Quinpool Road where there are many shops, grocery stores, and late-night restaurants, brewpubs, and coffee shops. Bus to downtown Halifax, to and from, is a snap (# 1 down Coburg / Spring Garden Road) University dorm accom in Halifax, various campuses, is incredible value. Book EARLY though!"

My only 'grump' is the heavy banging of the entry door to the dormitory, folks coming and going and NOT being mindful to the gorilla-sized BANG of the door closing behind them. This was not an issue for me; but for my partner it most certainly was, I am not sure that anything can be done about the door itself. We DID bring this matter to the attention of the front desk-and the folks there were very understanding and in agreement. The shared bathroom / showers set-up was absolutely agreeable-no complaints.

"The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, the facilities are clean and well kept, and Felix the cat will cuddle with you if you let him! In addition, the location of the hostel is very conveniently placed, and the other people staying there were delightful. All in all, my stay was 10/10! If I come back to the Faroe Islands this place will be my first choice!"

"Well located hostel just by Tavolucci bus stop, which meets Rimini shuttle. Very nice man running the place, does his best to answer any question. Ask him for directions to old town; there's a way up that'll keep you mostly off the dangerous roads, which lack any shoulder. Place has good kitchen, comfortable common area. Limited but enough hot water in showers. Very grateful for this budget option in San Marino, which can be pricey."

Freezing cold at night in dorm. It was warm just outside in hallway, so I don't know what the secret is to getting that into the room. Also, would be nice, more efficient, to have male dorm and let the guys use the three-shower room, rather than letting women lock it for one. Make one of the en suites the female dorm. Odd to pay for linens; just add to price. No outlets in dorm, but understandable in old building.

We feel in family! :-) Kelly is so helpful and talkative, always able to give suggestions and help finding activities to do, contacts, etc. His son, Junior, went with us to many places and activities and we fell him like a younger brother! :-) All the family made us feel welcome and at "home far from home". Installations are simple, but in a nice location, in the countryside, quite and friendly place, not far from Goroka center/easy bus connections but we have everything we needed, even to cook our meals. If you want a simple and family place to stay, with someone who will help you around, this is the place! If once I go back PNG and Goroka, I'll stay here again! :-) Thanks Kelly, Junior and family! Hope to see you again!"

It's normal to have light and water cuts. But it's common in the region/general problem and not from the place.

It didn’t bother me but our room was adjacent road which has some car traffic. Closing the window blocked most traffic sound.

"We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!"

"One of the better hostels I’ve stayed at, conveniently located next to the bus station and a short walk into the town. Luggage storage for when you want to head into the mountains. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly, as well as the kitchen and rooms. Very social atmosphere with the common areas having lots of seating and the staff being warm and welcoming. Ramado was an absolutely gem of a host, super helpful with advice :)"

"Good location, especially if you are doing any diving. Really nice that there are some affordable options in Palau. Shared bathroom facility was clean and simple. It was everything that I needed."

Communication was a bit challenging with the front desk.

"Amazing experience within the local villages, natural beauty and in a calm area. Very nice staff, everybody takes a lot of care to make you feel good. Recommended to take the opportunity to go around with a guide to avoid orientation problems."

"Best location, right in the Old Town but on a rather small and calm street. Walking distance from the railway station (20 minutes), and to all interesting places in the center. Lovely restaurants and bars all around. Easy to find and to check-in digitally at late night. Only four beds in the room but still low price. From the first minute, this hostel felt welcoming and very cosy. Easy to relate to other guests, maybe because of the nice atmosphere. Kitchen very well equipped and with a large table for eating or playing games."

Textile carpeting in the dormitory. It felt clean enough, but not very easy to keep sane.

"Love the location it was near the airport 10mins by car, near all the mall and shops and gadong night market. The room and bathroom is clean."

It is on the 2nd floor, and no lift, luckily i didnt bring heavy lugage.. also the staff service is amazing they offer to help to bring the lugage.
