My biggest negative about the property was the bathroom was so tiny. The door couldn’t open up the whole way so if you are a bigger person I don’t recommend staying here. I am not that big of a person and felt crammed.

"Island Hopper was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. The staff made us feel at 'home' right from the airport pick up. The beds are more comfortable than ours at home. The restaurant is also excellent! Hope to be back one day."

Difficult to get to (rough bumpy narrow roads)but worth it once there.

There wasn’t a thing I could say about the hotel. It was a great hotel

Very isolated, surrounded by an abandoned resort. Menu very limited and expensive although the chef was very obliging and did cook of menu dishes for those who asked. Our room wasn’t cleaned twice and we had to remind someone to do it, we had to move rooms as the toilet facilities broke on our first room but this was handled quickly. For the cost of the room I would have expected a little more e.g. bottled water free in the room, tissues to be available in the room, better quality toilet paper.

The guy at check out seemed frustrated with my questions about how to get my passport stamped. I speak French so it wasn’t the language barrier. I did figure it out tho!

"The beds were comfortable and if you found the private bathroom the shower there was the best I have ever had anywhere. Good pressure and hot water. The location is great because it is close to the shops. They have a restaurant there and while the prices are a bit steep the food was quite good."

The place is a hotel in the process of renovation. It is a little old and had seen grander days. Our rooms while having clean beds saw windows that had cobwebs on them and flaky paint. The kitchen is communal and there was just one mug for all. The dish rags were used and dirty. There is a huge clock tower which is a feature of the town and it chimes all through the night. So if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room off the road. The bar staff in the hotel were excellent but there was a dispute with the owner who had posted different information on Booking.com from the room we received. We wanted two separate beds and were initially given one. After additional money was paid we got one room with two beds.

“Unfortunately, some of the staff showed attitude, particularly 1 at the bar and another during breakfast service. Our server was not very friendly or helpful at first. Only after I made the effort to speak with her did her attitude improve. Better customer service would really improve the dining experience.”

"The view is gorgeous. Restaurant is very expensive and service is slow after you are served. Pool service is also a bit slow."

Taxi service even when we called ahead was slow. Couldn’t get a water bottle from The front desk at $1275 a night. The hotel is far from Hamilton so plan to spend $50-$100 per day to leave the resort for activities.

"The property is located directly on the beach. It is quiet and the apartment is spacious. I absolutely loved it, but the location is on the opposite side of the island from almost all attractions. Rent a car, not from Andy’s at the Ferry, but definitely rent a car. Taking a taxi from one side of the island to the other is about $35-$40 one way."

"• The hotel is very modern, extravagant and visually beautiful, even if not everything is fully functional. • The rooms are extremely spacious and very comfortable. • The location is stunning — although it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, it is beautifully situated right on the Mekong River."

• The staff were very slow, especially in the restaurant. The bar/counter area often looked messy and disorganized. • Although the room itself was clean, the chocolate in the minibar was very old and moldy, which is unacceptable. • Some light bulbs in the room were not working or were flickering. • The small inner outdoor area of the room was dirty and poorly maintained.

"I liked that the room was spacious, with enough space to place luggage comfortably. It did not feel cramped and was larger than rooms in the city. The accommodation is located near Matsumoto shops."

The parking was limited, so I had to use a nearby public parking for 500 yen, which was not far from the accommodation.

"The location was just off the main street in a cool old building, and was walking distance from both the train station and the ferry. The room itself was comfortable with a good shower. My window overlooked the courtyard."

"First to start with the location, its in the center of zahle and close to everything; mini markets, restarurants, pubs, and all types of shops. Also close to the popular berdawni area. All are within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel management and staff were super nice and friendly. The value for the price paid was excellent."

La piscine était sur entretien et en train detre remplir. Dommage pour nous que on ne pouvait pas nager. Mais prochainement ca sera possible.

"Het meest beviel ons de rust en hygiëne. We aten ontbijt en diner in het hotel. Vantevoren konden we aangeven hoe laat we het wilden hebben en wat we wilden eten. De kok luisterde goed naar onze wensen. Verder is het personeel zeer behulpzaam en helpt wanneer nodig."

Eigenlijk viel niets echt tegen. Omdat het een nieuwe lokatie is, merk je dat de medewerkers nog wat onwennig zijn en moet je pro-actief zijn. Zo hadden we handdoeken en een kopje voor 1 persoon op de kamer terwijl we met zijn tweeën waren. Als je erom vraagt zorgen ze snel dat het wordt opgelost. Als je TV wil kijken, houd er rekening mee dat je alleen YouTube video's kunt bekijken 😀 De lokatie is gelegen op een zeer stil punt in Zomba en heeft geen buitenterras, dat zou nog wel fijn zijn. En, zoals je wel vaker tegenkomt in Malawi, het weggetje ernaartoe is een zandpad met stenen en kuilen, dus houd daar rekening mee.

Good variety of Norwegian ®ular breakfast staples Staff at counter friendly and answered our questions about area/accommodations Free parking - big bonus since Norway usually requires payment for parking Although shared bath, we had no wait for WC. We had a sink in our room so only shower and toilet facilities are shared."

Cons: You may hear noise from people outside on public deck. During our stay all observed quiet time after 11PM. We always have ear plugs so we are ok.
