"The location and the room renovations are fantastic"

The window AC unit seemed old, but we saw central unit installed so hope they update them soon

"The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Although it's a hotel it felt very homely and they made me feel like family. Yuri in the restaurant made an extra effort."

I thought perhaps the restaurant menu was a little limited. The same soup every evening.

There was nothing to dislike.

"This hotel is giving a “feel like home” vibe. It’s well organized and very caring to customers. Location is pretty much secure and convenient for foreigners to visit around. Staff always show concerned when serving."

The only thing makes it lose points is that the electricity generator group is too close to the apartment area. In the night it disturbs sleep even though the windows are closed.

"Wonderful view. Clean comfortable rooms with all the amenities we needed. Lounging area was great to relax after a busy day. Staff was very attentive and helpful for anything we needed. The restaurant on the hotel grounds was great!"

"Charela's was so relaxing it's like a retreat,you hear the birds singing in the morning sitting on my balcony with my coffee it's so quiet and peaceful, dining staff was great, enjoy breakfast the most walking on the beach or just lounging under the coconut tree such tranquility."

The winding stairs up to my room. Otherwise my room was nice looking over the pool and garden.

"The hotel has very nice reasonably priced rooms facing the lake and the island..The best being those to the right as you face the lake, those to the left have small windows. The rooms are comfortable but in need of a little update. This goes for the hotel as a whole but the great views are the bonus and it's only an 11 minute walk to the island."

The hotel needs some care and attention to ensure the physical appearance is improved.

"The location was excellent and well kept. The view from the hotel was excellent. The outside building looked old but the inside was very well made. It has a small shopping complex attached to the lobby."

Disappointed with how breakfast servers expect tip for them brining the coffee to you. If you don't tip them one day, they won't even ask you for coffee the other day. That behavior from a 5 star hotel was disgusting. The shower massage did not work. I stayed in two rooms but it was not working in any of the rooms. The bidet was leaking. You just don't expect such things from a 5 star. Being a 5 star hotel they don't carry a first aid box. I was shocked when they told me the don't have first aid when I needed something. A small organization of 15 people have first aid and this was a well branded 5 start hotel.

The dinner was very average. No evening entertainment at all, for example, music in lounge, bar etc.

"Small and intimate, beautifully landscaped and well-maintained with an attentive, friendly staff. We loved the beautiful, quiet beach, the excellent service, good food and blissful peace and quiet. The outdoor showers were a treat and there are many, many small, thoughtful touches throughout the property."

"Everything. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Really liked that it’s not a busy main road but close to the old city centre. The suite was a mini apartment. Gorgeous high ceilings and layout. The staff were friendly and polite. Always greeting you. It’s quiet and charming."

"The best hotel option in Rosseau. The breakfast buffet was excellent, although not inexpensive ($25 USD). Several bars located throughout the property, with the pool bar being our favorite. The lobby and new part of the building look great. We did a few dives with the dive shop located on site and they are excellent!"

The older part of the hotel is dated and not as nice as the newer part. The cruise ships dock right outside the hotel, which takes away from your view of the ocean and adds 2,000+ people to an already busy city. The pool, although nice and surprisingly not busy during our stay, is undersized. The city of Rosseau is not nice, overpopulated, and unbearable to drive through. There is no need to leave the resort.

"Well, I used to be a regular customer of the hotel but did not return for the past 15 years at leasr, and given the reviews I read about it, I was expecting something below average, but still decided to give it a try mainly because of the beach, to my surprise everything was close to perfection except that the facilities need a bit of refurbishment"
