"We liked that we were away from the busier Old Town and that we were on the ocean. We were able to take a walk along the bay area and really enjoyed taking in the views there."

We liked everything, it was nice to have the option to enjoy dinner right at the hotel and a bonus that there was a discounted first night for the dinner. The buffet was good and breakfast was great as well. If the weather permits it would be wonderful to be able to sit outside overlooking the ocean.

this could be improved: -the beach has a lot of potential, buiding a nice peer with stairs for a sea swim would make it much better -there isnt enough shade in the garden and the sun is punishing -the trees on the beach have fruits that hurt when falling, as part of garden maintenance they should be shuffled to drop the fruits upfront -the restaurant options both for breakfast, meals and snacks, leaves out a lot of the good things of Sao Tome. Look at your competitor Riu, for instance, they always have a section with local treats

No hot shower, which was inconvenient. Noisy installations that affected comfort (water pump, no well isolated for insects) The check-in process was a bit complicated, but since it's a family-run business, we were understanding.

"I was in Atlas Hotel. It’s really great. - The hotel provides 24 hours coffee, tea and water. It helps a lot when the weather changes. - The staffs are so nice and always willing to help. They speak English fluently. - The room is clean. Worth for money. - The location is close to the airport. Very easy to get there. "Beautiful area. Breakfast was included and a great selection. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Room was compact but had all necessary essentials. Pool area was great as well, mix of sun and shade. Decently walkable area, multiple restaurants are nearby, mall is maybe 10 min walk. cultural village is further but still walkable, can also access Sheba’s breast hike from there."

"Mercure is just a short drive away from the airport and we went with a transfer booked through Booking.com to making going to and from the airport streamlined. Check-in was quick and easy the staff were friendly and food was reasonably priced at the restaurant. The room was clean and the pool was great for the hot and humid weather. It was also close to supermarkets, movies and other restaurants which served a variety of food."

The bathroom felt a bit outdated.

"It has the best location which is close to the MRT line 14 (easy connecting to other destinations), and there is 1 small hall right next to the hotel. Staffs are friendly, supportive and quick response. I am satisfied with all."

Lobby area by bar or library carpet looks dirty or filthy -needs newer carpet or change color to brighten the room , I was bitten a lot by mosquitoes while I was seated at the lobby for few minutes, I told the front desk and showed them my mosquito bites and they seem like no clue what I was saying. Hallways to the room needs some updates looks old but it’s fine, it’s clean.

"The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is very charming and has incredible views. The bus stops directly in front of the hotel and there is a little convenience store right out front."

Our only fault with the hotel was the pillows. They are an odd size and quite lumpy. The beds were quite comfortable though.

"The location was great, within walking distance of everything in Colonia. The breakfast was outstanding, and the manager, Yang Gang, was just amazing. He was on his own for most of our stay, and he did everything himself: the cooking, servicing the rooms, and driving us around."

The hotel was built about 30 years ago and was a beautiful structure with extensive facilities, but wooden structures don't hold up well in the climate of Yap. It's really showing its age, and could use some renovation.

- spots on the carpet floor in the room from weeks or maybe months ago - breakfast environment: tables are like 'here you sit and eat' - breakfast includes: tomato and cucumber that should be much better quality - the water temperature changes frequently while you are taking a shower and adjusted the knob properly
