"Worth the 4km off-road from the main road on the way to Wadi Rum (and/or as complementary day to the Wadi Rum experience). Compared to Wadi Rum, this experience was calm and authentic outside of the touristic paths. it's a beautiful spot, Jaffar and Julie cooked wonderful food and we had a good evening chat. Sukran!"

A bit warm in those small rooms, but if you leave the door open, the breeze helps a lot.

"Absolutely lovely guesthouse in the city a block from the waterfront--a few minutes drive from anywhere in the capital. Easy street (sidewalk really, lol) parking right outside the gate. Room was spacious and comfortable with great A/C. The pool and lounge areas were wonderful to rest and reset, and the breakfast was good. All the staff were kind and helpful, and I had a great stay. I would return again!"

The wifi wasn't very consistent, but I had a local sim chip, so I was fine.

"The Inn is right in the middle of old town Nizwa, close to the fort. Rooms are idilic, very nice, there's AC and a fan, bathrooms could use an upgrade (as per other reviews). Personal was nice, we paid 7 OMR for breakfast (it was good, there are options, but as an Arab country, there is less meat. Next to the Inn they provide parking and if it is crowded, they help with valet parking as well. They have complementary dates and Arab coffee at check in, they have concierge as well. It was really quiet even though we had windows to the parking lot and close to the street (which gets crowded by night)."

Room D5 has the bed made up of 2 single mattresses and the one on the right side should be replaced (is not comfortable). The flooding in the bathroom after using the shower or longer usage of the sink.

"We liked everything the place the restaurant oh my world the breakfast was excellent 👌 the property was well kept and extremely beautiful and the infinity pools beside the sea was breathtaking 😀 my husband and I enjoyed our selves. It was my birthday"

"My entire family LOVED our stay here. Renate is an exceptional hostess. She is kind, helpful, and provides the most delicious breakfast! We enjoyed her homemade baked goods, meat and cheese options, yogurt, coffee, and so much more. My husband is an avid fly fisherman and he chose coming here for the fishing. He was not disappointed. Renate was so helpful to him & he had a wonderful time. The little village is beautiful and has a very convenient market walking distance from our apartment. We would highly recommend visiting here & we thank Renate for everything she did to help make our trip so wonderful."

"The Apartments are located in the nice area, in the mountain village, so the surrounding is beautiful. The breakfast is such a unique experience, composed of homemade goodies, nicely delivered by the friendly staff (i would definitely recommend trying it)."

The bathroom was in the apartment, divided from the rest of the room by a sanded glass only, which does not reach the ceiling, with no special ventilation.

"Location is awesome. The dining room overlooking the courtyard where you could sit in the day The attentiveness and accommodation of the staff. I had booked 2 nights but, at gone midday after the first night, decided I wanted to head to Machu Picchu a day early. I asked if I could transfer the reservation to my last night in town and they did so even though check out was at 10!"

Noisy street if you have a balcony/window room. Inside rooms didn’t have a window.

"Great little gem very close to the center of San Pedro de Atacama Both Fernando and Alejandra were great hosts. Everything is clean and orderly by the hand of Fernando. Breakfast was exactly what we needed to kick the day off - including fruits and yogurt plus the tea/coffee. We enjoy every minute of our stay at Hostal Solor. There are quite a few grocery stores and restaurants close to the Hostal, it's just a 10 mins walk to city center."

"Incredible staff, accommodated a late check-in and arranged airport pickup. Although no frills and simple, that is by no means a negative. The perfect location made me feel like a local. Views of the port from the terrace and right across the street from the bus station. Walking distance to shops and places to eat. Will stay again."

The apartment is on very busy street and is quite loud event in the night.

"The place was well kept and we really appreciated the detail and personal touch of the facilities including the visiting Lemurs! The food was excellent with creative and new menu being developed daily. We loved the fresh bread daily and crepes, we definitely looked forward to our meals every time! Patrick and Naik were attentive to all our needs and made us feel very comfortable!"

"Owner is a kind and jolly fellow. He sings songs very well. We sang John Lennon, Beatles, Queen, Bob Dylan during breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, he prepared local veg cuisines for us and buffet menu has several items. He is straightforward in approach. Nice for the given price range."

Weddings on weekends. If you prefer peace and quiet, make sure you don’t book over the weekend.

"The location was perfect and short 5-10min walk to the main sights up the hill. The room was larger than I expected, nicely decorated, cute balcony with a view into the hills. Very comfortable overall. Much nicer than the photos and great value for the money. The restaurant has excellent food and the staff were particular nice there."

For breakfast we ordered specific breakfast but received whatever the next day... You have to pay extra for every cup of coffee

"Great place, friendly host, very clean and well equipped room. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of local products. I enjoyed staying in this place. Highly recommend! It’s easier to get to the property by car. Not sure about public transportation."

I didn't receive the room what I booked. During my stay(4 days), nobody came in to clean or to take the garbage. Didn't worth the price.

"This is a SUPERB place to stay. Location: right in the middle of the Centro Histórico, a 2 minute walk from whatever you might need. Comfort: quiet, great mattress, extra pillows on the bed, hot shower with good pressure. Extras: included coffee and tea, places to sit and read, a book exchange, beautiful architecture, an electric heater in the room, really good breakfast with unusually good bread. Staff: super friendly, relaxed, and helpful. An excellent value and a great night's sleep. 10/10"

The location of the stay is very close to the Metro station and you can go to the old city in 30 minutes. Location is relatively far from the metro lines (roughly 15 minutes in each direction), The hotel offers free laundry machines, but the dryer is not very good and leaves the clothes damp, need to air dry a few hours

It is older and a little funky but their staff is lovely and the food is good and reasonable . Always a friendly face!
