"The guesthouse is located in the heart of the historic district on the main road. It was easy to locate and free parking was provided at the back of the building. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. All the town's major sights (and an awesome waterpark) are located nearby and easily reached by foot. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend - would stay again."

"The Apartments are located in the nice area, in the mountain village, so the surrounding is beautiful. The breakfast is such a unique experience, composed of homemade goodies, nicely delivered by the friendly staff (i would definitely recommend trying it)."

The bathroom was in the apartment, divided from the rest of the room by a sanded glass only, which does not reach the ceiling, with no special ventilation.

The location of the stay is very close to the Metro station and you can go to the old city in 30 minutes. The stairs in the hotel were very steep. If you are with a child or an elderly person, it will be difficult to climb the floors.

"A true rustic hideway. Loved the honesty bar. Simple but delicious breakfast. Pool was a bonus. Great location, near the restaurants and bars but far enough away to eacape the noise from the nightclubs. Dont expect a branded, glitzy hotel. Its simple and rustic with a touch of faded colonial grandeur."

I had booked 2 nights but, at gone midday after the first night, decided I wanted to head to Machu Picchu a day early. I asked if I could transfer the reservation to my last night in town and they did so even though check out was at 10!"

The WiFi was not great at all, no WiFi in the rooms at all. The bar/restaurant in the evening was closed very early, with no facility to make a drink, not even drinking water in the room. If you do not have a car, I would not recommend staying here.

"Breakfast and supper were great, and plentiful. Rum punches good. The location was great, surrounded by nature. ( occasional traffic noise). Listened to birds by day, and crickets, frogs , lizards? by night. Staff were informative and friendly. Overall , relaxing place. Need to have a car, otherwise taxi's are expensive, local bus an option, when you can get them. Get to meet other tourists there as well with the communal dining."

As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.

It was very relaxing and as a short stay before a cruise it was perfect especially with all the beautiful peacocks!

As I enter the room, there is a strong smell of smoke. They need to ensure that the room is properly ventilated so that the smoke odour doesn't linger. Additionally, they don't provide soap or shampoo in the bathroom. It can also be quite exhausting to stay in a hotel with steep stairs and no elevator.
