"This place is a little slice of heaven- it’s far enough away from the bustle to have endless views, but close enough that you can get there quickly and easily from the main road. The folks at the front desk were so kind and helpful. I thought I booked a cottage and I had booked a room by accident- for a small fee they were able to easily switch me and I had my cozy cottage experience! It’s really a special place and a unique Icelandic experience."

"Location, buildings, decorations!!! LOVED the 4 Italians that work there. They are incredibly sweet and always are smiling. They also gave us valuable information about Iceland and the different tourist attractions."

"Location, view, cooking amenities, hospitality. We picked the location because it had less light pollution (hoped to see Northern Lights), and within a half hour drive from Laugaras Lagoon, which was our route before check-in. We thought at booking that reservation included breakfast. It does not - the host emailed with breakfast options and prices, which is separate from cottage booking. We got there just around 22:00, when reception closes. Host was gracious and helpful because gmaps got confused directing us to their reception on their property. He came to fetch us and personally greeted us, which we very much appreciated. The cottage was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our brief one night stay. Comfortable beds - firm enough, thank you! Cooking amenities were fine for basic cooking, and the ability to cook your own meal at "home" cannot be beat - so convenient and helpful. Including having a fridge to make your provisions last. Great stay overall."

"Dishware, utensils, and cookware (pans) could have been cleaner - they were not very dirty, but they looked like they haven't been washed very well or rinsed at best, plus there were crumbs in kitchen drawers, like the kitchen area of the cottage didn't get as much cleaning attention as the rest of the cottage. Not a big deal for us, but something to keep in mind for hosts for future guests. We loved our stay anyway, and we are very appreciative of accommodations provided."

"Very warm, sociable and pleasant host. The Italian couple which manage the property did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The property has a really nice common area, with sofas, books, games. The cherry on the cake was the outdoors heated hot tub. Would stay there again."

"Staff were amazing, they treated me like a queen. Food was delicious. I ordered breakfast to my room and they delivered a basket full of food at 8am! Food (including dinner) was so good. Shower was amazing, gushed hot water and temp could be changed immediately if you wanted to do cold plunge! Water tasted so good out of tap, heat was out of this world good. Could quickly dry towels, boots on heaters. Cabin glass on 3 sides, excellent view of sky and stars."

"There were lights from nearby empty cottages that couldn’t be turned off. Also, place is hard to find in the dark. GPS directs you to a horse farm just below it. Thankfully there was someone there to direct me up the hill."

"We loved the property but weren't thrilled to upgrade to a cottage, especially because the standard rooms didn’t offer adequate kitchen facilities. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights during our stay, which made the experience truly memorable. Highly recommend booking this property if your main goal is to witness the Northern Lights!"

"The room we originally booked didn’t include kitchen utensils or facilities for cooking, so we had to pay extra to upgrade to a cottage. Food at the restaurant was quite expensive, so dining there wasn’t really an option. Additionally, the pathway to the cottage was confusing, and it took us some time to locate ours. The outdoor table at the cottage was also covered in bird droppings, so we couldn’t sit there or even place our bags."
