"I stayed here before and after my hike of the Laugavegur Trail. Only a short 15-minute walk on a paved walkway from the main bus station. Perfect for catching the bus to trail and the airport. Reception staff were available and helpful. They stored my luggage until check-in time. Clean basic room, comfortable bed. The shared kitchen made it easy to make coffee and have breakfast before heading out. I rented a locker on-site where I stored a bag while hiking the Laugavegur Trail. While cheaper options may be available at the car parks, I returned late and was glad I didn't have to walk further. The student bar was open late and offered cheaper options than dining out. I'm very glad I stayed here!"

"The hotel is located next to the University campus. It is around 15-20 mins away from the center of Reykjavik. We rented a car, so the free gravel parking lot next to the hotel was a big bonus. The room is quite small and not very decorated but clean and comfortable. We had access to the shared kitchen which was nice for storing our groceries in the fridge and making sandwiches for our hikes."

"The room has 2 twin beds opposite of each other. There is enough space to put them together to create a "double bed", which would be a nicer option for couples. It would be nice to have some soap in the bathroom."

"The property was located close to both BSI bus station and to the city center/downtown area. The city is extremely walkable, although hilly, so we found this to be a perfect location to meet our needs. The staff was responsive and communicative and went out of their way to be helpful. For instance, my friend and I both forgot charger adapters and were able to borrow one from the front desk. The facilities are nicely appointed and clean. It was a great value as we were able to have a two bed room for the night with a private bathroom, compared to many of the pricier places to stay."
