"The location is great, only 2 blocks from oaxaca's main zocalo, the beds are comfortable and the room is roomy, it has AC; this is not a fancy or modern hotel, is a traditional old construction, but everything is clean, they do cleaning and change of towels everyday, they are very accommodating, we got there very early and they let us into our rooms several hours before, the only reason I didn't rate it all the stars is because it is an old style construction so there is no elevator, but in relation to the price and quality it's great, I mean if you are looking for something modern and fancy than of course this is not your place, but if you are looking for something affordable, clean, comfortable, walking distance from oaxacas main activity in centro historico this is it. Also they do no have parking but they have a deal with a parking lot only 5 or 6 blocks from the hotel free of charge!"
"No parking, no elevator"
"It was a block away from Benito Juárez , 20 de noviembre, and convenient stores. The staff felt like family. This was our 2nd time staying here and we will surely visit again."

"Great location close to transportation, markets and zocalo."
"Wifi did not work in room, and hardly worked in common spaces."
"Location! A lot of things are within walking distance staff was super friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my suite case in the hotel after check out at no extra charge!"
"The beds were a bit small, but that was fine."
"The location was the best. The beds, linens and closet space, lots of drawers to unpack luggage, table and coffee maker. The staff was wonderful."
"Hot water comes out after 5 min of running the shower. It will come. The wifi in the common areas outside of the rooms is good but some might think inconvenient. Once you step outside its strong, there are tables & chairs in the terrace."
"The location is excellent. For the price, it it the best option"
"The maintenance and upkeep could be better."
"The location was great. Staff was friendly. We were able to get our laundry done on site. It was nice to have outdoor spaces to sit. We decided to stay 2 extra days."
"Hot water was iffy. A/C was a bit noisy (but worked well)."
"Great affordable place at a perfect location in Oaxaca city! Relatively quiet considering how central it is because of the huge inside yard on the first floor. Friendly people that even let us leave our bags during the day when we came back to town 4 days after we stayed there!"

"After discovering that our original booking hotel no longer existed, we booked Tobalá at the last minute and were very happy we had this happen, it was a much better and very clean hotel in a perfect and quiet location just moments from the Zocalo and local market. The staff were kind and helpful. The cleaner worked very hard to maintain its cleanliness. Big and spacious double room with semi-hot shower and coffee maker. In the common area outside the door had a view of the stars above and free WIFI, a water refill area with microwave. We were very happy that even though the location was right in the centre, it was very quiet at night. It's a local hotel and priced just right. We could venture out across the street to the local market for meals and photo opportunities. A great stay!! Gracias"

"First of all the stuff!! 10000 out of 10! So caring, they helped us so much with different things like finding vegan food, accommodating cooking vegan for us, getting papaya from the city and the other things. Second is Absolutely stunning surroundings, rooms are spacious, very well designed spaces. Lighting, floors, all details were so very well put together. Spa is above and beyond. Highly suggest to get a tamazcalli package, truly relaxing in a beautiful space."
