The staff at the pool were not very helpful. We asked for pool towels and were told they would be brought to us, but we waited almost 20 minutes. Eventually, we had to go and ask again.

"There was a great breakfast - up to two dishes could be ordered for the selected time. The area is very well kept which should be the case for a golf field, that I could see from my window. It was silent all the time."

The only disadvantage was the cold temperature: I could not ejnjoy a table and terrace. But that is not about the great hotel. That is about November in Latvia!

There was nothing significant to complain about. Overall, the experience met and even exceeded my expectations.

The hotel organizes events on the grounds that go until midnight. The first night we were there, it was very loud and the noise was right in our room. The third night, there was another one. It takes away from the calm of the property to host these types of events, even on weeknights. This fact makes me reconsider staying here again because it spoils having a quiet evening in the room or hotel.

"I had such a lovely time there. The facilities are first rate and the staff is amazing. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. They put every effort into doing whatever was necessary to make my stay perfect. I was there kind of off season, so the spa was closed, but I wanted services, so they had someone come in for me. I had an amazing massage. The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and I loved the shower. Breakfast was quite yummy and they had rooms service for other meals also. The boatman they had for my lake tour really took me all over the lake. The prices were reasonable, so I could relax and just enjoy the lovely place and not stress about anything."

I honestly can't think of anything. It would have been nice if their gift shop had been open, because I'd have like to buy some of the products they have in the bathroom.

"The hotel is located in a very good location.Close to nice beaches, to the old town, to the aquapark... We received two rooms connected by a door (family room) which was a very good solution for us The staff was great, the food was very good (especially if you are not vegeterian), the place is very clean and well maintended. There are taxis working with the hotel with fixed rates per location."

The resort is great if you have young kids. There are almost no vegeterian food options during the day between the main meals (even the pizza was with meet) Altought according to booking.com comments it seems that no metter which hotel you reserve (bay, mare or palace) you are allowed to use all the facilities...this is not the case...each pool has signs saying that the facility is for a a specific hotel The hotel private beach is good only if you are in the palace hotel...otherwise...you are not getting anything there and also the sea shore is small and not so attractive... You are allowed to order once a week dinner in one of two restaurants located in the resort. I couldn't order anything during our week stay since it was full...

"Excellent historic building and interiors. The park with the pond looked nice too, but didn't have time to walk around. Several rooms are for team working activities. Cute spa with big jacuzzis and several saunas. We were welcomed by a very nice lady."

Restaurant could have something simple for eating, too. We don't need the full menu all the time. Some fruits, cheese, cookies, for example.

As a person who is lactose intolerant, would have been good if you had plant based milk, as you see in Baku and it is available.

"First of all we also had a tour which was great. We drank great wine and had an amazing dinner. When we went to see the rooms, we couldn’t believe how big they were. Honestly, some of the biggest hotel rooms I have ever seen, in a small room budget. They looked good, the bed was comfortable, we received a wine as a welcome gift."

In one of the rooms I think the heating was not functioning properly, but it was fine, the weather was not too cold anyway

I think everything was fine. It's an older hotel, but it's been well maintained.

"Location being beach front. Staff was very friendly and costumer service very kind. Front desk very helpful! Didn’t stay long enough to see a show, maybe next time. Great place for families and couples!!"

The complex is getting old! I travels here about 25 years ago, and it seems that somethings stayed in the past! We stayed in room 324 with great internet!!! Bathroom needs work, but not a reason not to stay here. The food in general was good. Pool areas clean and staff always around. The clients as in other resorts, have this thing about keeping the chairs/sunbeds all day to themselves (shame on them) !!!

"Perfectly situated by the beach with an amazing pool. We had a great time at the LUX. Everyone we met was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed our room with a great view on a gazebo and the ocean in the background. The food was excellent across the massive breakfast buffet and different restaurants for dinner. Special mention for the Carry’s bar (especially canard à la vanille and Rougail saucisse) as well as the Rougail citron dessert."

Hard to find something to mention. To be picky, we would have like a drink included in the half board dinner (soft, glass of wine).

"This is a massive resort, but one of the fanciest places with the most well trained staff we have ever been to. Exceptionally helpful and kind, excellent architecture throughout the whole facility. We took out we ATV and dune buggy on a couple of trips which was awesome. It rained most of the time we were there, but there is plenty to do. A full of five star resort and experience."

We came in early March, definitely their low season. This place would be incredible during the summer season when the beach and pools are open

"I loved the small details they do for you. The night team does turn down. They leave a little surprise snack for you. Nothing gets even close to their hospitality. Everyone and management is amazing. This is my 2nd time going and I will never stay anywhere else but with them."

Bug spray is a must

"Klein ( a male staff at the reception ) was helpful, spoke fluent English. Sauna is great to heal the body after Snowboarding. In the sauna room, they prop sauna hats, and tea/water. There is a hot swimming pool too. I stayed in the dormitory room with 6 others. There is a huge locker inside the room, in all your amenities will be there. You can even keep your suitcase inside, it’s that big. The staff responded to all my questions on WhatsApp even when I was not in this county."

"Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world."

Not much but if I went again I'd maybe pay a little more for the room with ensuite shower rather than sharing a communal shower with non locking door. Obviously this is budget accommodation in West Africa so it's of the rustic eco lodge variety rather than the western style hotel room variety in case anyone is expecting that.

"Great location, quiet, comfortable and relaxing, comfortable bed, quiet room, nice amenities including Netflix available on TV. Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly mong. He is very nice and helpful. Good breakfast. Safe area. Big shopping centers at walking distance. Laundry close by. It's about 2.5 km from city center. We enjoyed our stay and consider to stay in future."

"Everything from A-Z was perfect, the staff was super friendly and helpful especially Ali the receptionist he organized and decorated the room for our marriage anniversary, my wife loved the surprise. The view of the Villa is breathtaking, the snow games are fun although I wish the weight limits were a bit more flexible."

Sometimes it can be noisy in the rooms with neighbors (over the weekend) but they are willing to sort it out. The wifi in the room was very good but in the bar / restaurant it was sometimes weak.
