"Location, pool, stuff, wild elephant comes to hotel in the morning"

Do not expect new rooms, rooms are old but price is expected and service level is very high And also is good to have local money

"Amazing location right on the beach. Bungalows are a bit dated but they are clean, comfortable, and the air con works great. Staff is exceptional, always willing to help you out with whatever you need. The daily breakfast is small and basic but we complemented ours with yogurt from Tina’s 24/7 market and it was perfect. The lagoon is so close, literally feet from your bungalow. The beach chairs are nice. Plenty of parking for cars or scooters. The grounds are pretty and well maintained."

The restaurant is only open on Wednesday and Saturdays so you need to go elsewhere the other nights for dinner. There are a couple of places within walking distance but you will need wheels of some kind to get to a grocery store or other dining options. WiFi works great out by the office or at the tables in the restaurant but you risk getting eaten by mozzies, wifi didn’t work very well in our bungalow.

"The small chalet had everything it needed for a little getaway from the city. There is a small trail leading to a forest nearby,perfect for a small hike throughout the year,when it's not the skiing season. The staff was friendly and available throughout the day."

"First of all we also had a tour which was great. We drank great wine and had an amazing dinner. When we went to see the rooms, we couldn’t believe how big they were. Honestly, some of the biggest hotel rooms I have ever seen, in a small room budget. They looked good, the bed was comfortable, we received a wine as a welcome gift."

In one of the rooms I think the heating was not functioning properly, but it was fine, the weather was not too cold anyway

"Location and accessibility for magical snorkelling and diving. Food, varied choices and delicious. Ice cream amazing. Staff friendly, helpful and always available for any queries you may have. We had a hut on the beach, awesome. A fantastic relaxed place to stay. We will definitely return."

"The property made a wonderful impression from the start. It had an elegant motif, thoughtfully executed to be both aesthetically pleasing and calming to the mind and soul. The customer service was 5 star! The room for the massages was very unique and inspiring. Also many big and small details made the cabins super photogenic and very connected to the surrounding forest, great for reflection and romance."

There is no closet for storing clothes, and good sleep quality may be elusive. Some maintenance issues unfortunately distracted a bit from the peace of the environment, but they were dealt with quickly and graciously by the attentive staff. Next time I might only stay for one night, so that the small issues don't distract as much from the ambience. It was overall a lovely romantic stay.

"This stay was one of my favourite after one month all around Guatemala. Submerged in nature this property is so peaceful and beautiful. The cabins are spacious and have everything you need plus the beds are super comfortable and it’s very clean. The pool was refreshing and the river is warm, calm in this spot and inviting. The cherry on top is the owners attentive service and incredible cooking! The food was really delicious and I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy more of everything! This was my hidden gem find on my trip."

Nothing, they have paid such close detail and thought of everything. They are clearly passionate about their property and the people who stay here.

"Such a pleasure visiting here for the weekend! The Tropic Air flight from Port Moresby that brings you straight to the resort gives breathtaking views of the terrain below. The resort is lovely, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. We loved the little details such as them bringing popcorn to our room in the afternoon. The views of the fjords from the deck are beautiful, and the diving is incredible. There were only 4 of us here for the weekend and they took great care of us. We felt very pampered. The food was great; (I’d give it 8/10 for one overcooked fish and one serving of undercooked fries) but everything was always beautifully plated. It rained one day here but it felt cozy and relaxing and there was plenty to do: games, darts, ping-pong, pool, books, chilling… Definitely recommend visiting this place if you have a chance!"

Only 2 things: What they call “paddle boards” are not paddle boards. Those should be replaced ASAP. The kayak is great though. The plentiful mangos that fall all around the property aren’t collected; they’re left lying around to go bad. That’s unfortunate and doesn’t correspond to the otherwise pristine state of the resort.

"El alojamiento es un complejo encantador con habitaciones aisladas y amplias. La ubicación excelente. Y el personal muy servicial."

"Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und modern eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass alles neu ist. Besonders schön: die tolle Ausstattung mit Espresso-Maschine und kostenlosem Kaffee. Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und hochwertig gestaltet. Über die Terrasse mit eigenem Strandkorb hatte man einen wunderbaren Blick Richtung Bodden – perfekt, um abends den Tag ausklingen zu lassen"

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

"I had such a lovely time there. The facilities are first rate and the staff is amazing. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. They put every effort into doing whatever was necessary to make my stay perfect. I was there kind of off season, so the spa was closed, but I wanted services, so they had someone come in for me. I had an amazing massage. The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and I loved the shower. Breakfast was quite yummy and they had rooms service for other meals also. The boatman they had for my lake tour really took me all over the lake. The prices were reasonable, so I could relax and just enjoy the lovely place and not stress about anything."

I honestly can't think of anything. It would have been nice if their gift shop had been open, because I'd have like to buy some of the products they have in the bathroom.

"The food was not good at all. Limited room services times and options. Buffett was not good; we ate the first night and then went to the mainland each night there after for dinner. Such an amazing location but nowhere to lounge or dine."

Day trippers were the resorts focus, maybe it was the time of year. Food and drink options were not good.

The rooms were a little tired and they did not have any plates or cutlery in the villas.

"Rented a cabin and expected simplicity but it was more like a hotel room at an expensive hotel and there was fridge & freezer plus cooking facilities."

Little hard to find the parking for the cabin though. They were numbered but not clearly printed on the map we were given. Had to look around quite a bit before we found the parking spot. There was no information on how to practically check out. I drove the car towards the reception but the street in front of the reception had a no stopping sign. Had to reverse it back to the parking spot. Was a bit confused on what to do. Turned out that i should have walked and given the key cards to the reception or dropped them in a box and just driven to the exit and that the exit gate opened automatically.

"The property itself is impeccable ,beautiful, well maintained, and truly inviting. I have absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the facilities. The food was good, with lighter flavors and not heavily seasoned, which I personally appreciated. The pork chops were definitely the highlight of my dining experience absolutely delicious."

Some of the reception staff, including one male receptionist, were not as friendly as one would expect in a hospitality setting. However, there was one receptionist who was exceptionally warm and welcoming..unfortunately, I didn’t get her name, but she truly made a difference in my experience. At the restaurant, one of the female attendants who assisted me every evening was also very kind and professional. On the downside, I felt uncomfortable at times because a few staff members repeatedly asked why I was alone. I found this persistent questioning unnecessary and somewhat intrusive.

"The cabin has beautiful lake view and it’s very clean inside. My two children loved the heated swimming pool where you can buy wrist bands from reception to access. Boat rental to see the islands and to get to Risør. We have enjoyed our two nights stay."

lo que podría mejorar es el hecho de que en la cabaña en la que me quedé había un gran ventanal el cual no tenía cortinas, por lo que la habitación se iluminaba mucho demasiado temprano, además de que la cama, aunque es de dos plazas, es más pequeña

"Tantebane is a great place to rest, relax, and get away for a break. It’s safe, quiet, and a great place to recharge in nature. We have been here numerous times and always enjoy our time there ."

"The family is very lovely.the toilets were very clean exceeded my expectations.nice comfortable beds.wholesome breakfast.the only thing is. you can not see the river from the yurt it’s a bit high from the river.though the river is just below the little hill the yurts are on.it was cold with no heaters but they gave us more blankets to make us warm.nige stay overall."
