"Quaint, cozy village house with friendly, hospitable Belgian hosts who speak Bulgarian and will make you feel right at home. If you're into luxury and 5-star hotels, do not book here. This is a great place to stay if you like the countryside, peace and quiet, dogs and smiling faces. Totally recommended! P.S.: The lighting in my Bedroom 1 was state-of-the-art."

"The place was very unique. Simply one of the most outstanding places with much more freedom to spend your time. Staff is very helpful indeed. Sea view with sound of the waves and wind add up some aesthetic flavour to the enjoyment. Everything was fine for the budget and obviously with no worries."

Quite old and doesn’t soundproof. Bathroom didnt look the cleanest, and needs renovation. Bathroom window doesnt lock. Walls need a repaint. No place to lie next to the pool. Location wasn’t convenient so I suggest a car or stay in the city.

Marco and the staff were so kind and accommodating and always available. They really make you feel at home. The room was clean and quiet And there was free parking if you have a car. "Everything was all right. The room was sparkling clean. There are several options for the breakfast. The massage was all right, not the best, but still good. The drinks in the minibar were not expensive (paid around 15 euros for a wine and 2 coca-cola). The personal was very nice, but not everyone speaks english."

I didn't like the breakfast. The jacuzzi was not working, so we had to cancel the spa reservation. They let us know the same morning when we arrived there.

"Peaceful, quiet suburban area. If you are OK to walk 15 - 20 minutes to the nearest beach, bus station, restaurant or you have a car then the location is good. The nearest (Corellia) beach is a very good sandy beach. The room is OK at this price level. Simple, but clean. The pool is nice and clean. The owner and the staff are friendly and helpful."

What didn't we like about the place? Hmm. If we have to think about it, then what is the point? Place was great!

"I did like the way I was received and was shown around.Kessy is always available when you need her. My advice to anyone is to make sure you communicate the time of your arrival to her in time."

"The lady of the house is sweet and caring and makes you feel at home, languages Armenian, Russian and French. Every day she makes breakfast for you, and opens the door when you get home (no key) .She makes a great omelet! It is fun conversation with her, and she respects your private space and time also. The rooms are simple and comely, the big room has a closet, a mirror and a desk, the bed is comfortable and there is a sunny balcony. You feel at home. The area is quiet and you hear almost no cars during the day, during the night it is silent. Shower has lots of hot water when needed. Towels are provided. It's ten minutes walk from the opera!"

Curtains are not blocking light, it could matter if you need sleep during the day. It's an old appartment block so sometimes you might hear neighbors' sounds above.

Bed not as comfortable as we hoped

"I arrived late and the taxi driver was unsure of the location. However the owner ( manager) came out to meet us and showed me the cabin, there was a language barrier as I don’t speak French, however with the help of google translate this was overcome. The breakfast was good and plentiful with egg, dates, yoghurt and bread with a juice and coffee. The owner was very helpful despite the language, the cabins are functional and good fun and first thing I walked (30 seconds) to the beautiful beach at sunrise!"

"The hostess was so kind and caring and professional. She answered questions, brought hot water for tea to our room, and met all of needs. The room was large, warm, nicely decorated with lots of blankets, lots of hot water both in the shower and the hand basin. The place was spotless. We ate dinner there twice and it was excellent, breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit"

"Good and quiet location. Positive was parking in the yard, rooms were spacious."

The only downside was that the restaurant was closed due to the holidays.

"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Kleines praktisches Zimmer mit kleinem Badezimmer(chen) zu einem angemessenen Preis. Bei Buchung wurde auf das kleine Badezimmer hingewiesen. Sehr bequemes Bett mit offenen Bettende und guter Matratze. Sehr ruhig. Frühstück mit verschiedener Wurst, Käse und Marmeladen und Gebäck. Vermieterin sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich."

Das kleine Badezimmer(chen) ist wirklich sehr klein. Ist aber kein Kritikpunkt, weil es wurde bei der Buchung schon drauf hingewiesen.

"Our first time staying in a B & B, and we loved it! The property is located just a couple of blocks from the beach. Safe and secure location, and our room was wonderful! The breakfast in the morning was delightful. We had all the beach items we needed available to use at no additional cost - chairs, umbrellas, beach bags, towels, even hats! We could walk to Bebo's for dinner, which was great! The property is lovely and gated. We will be back again on our next trip to San Juan!"

"The Manager handled EVERYTHING for me from car rental, directions to my many inquiries, set up a massage appointment for me...ECT, from the moment I landed on the island until I got on the plane to leave 🏝️I could not have been happier than with these people & this location! Thank you so very much Kurtz ... It was perfect for exploring the East side beaches and restaurants of the Island from & and just few minutes from the airport but you never heard planes flying over that area!. Car Needed!!"

"We traveled on our bicycles and Highland lodge was the perfect stop between Afriski and Mokhontlong. Rooms were very large and so clean. Bed was very large and comfy. Staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend 👌🏼"

We would have enjoyed a desert after our dinner but it was not so important.
