Campgrounds in Mauritania

"It was an incredible experience! Isuru was so kind with us, he took care of us since the first moment, the communication was great! If you want to get a very local and authentic experience, this is your place. Isuru knows a lot about nature and his country and we talked about so many things, we learned so much from Sri Lanka and its culture. The food was amazing, everything was delicious, I would say that is the best food we’ve tasted in Sri Lanka (rice and curry🤤). The location was perfect, so quite, not so far from the national park, also Isuru has a Tuktuk. You would be surrounded by nature in every moment, see the fireflies during the night.. ✨also you could have a walk next to the river and see a lot of birds ! The bed was so comfortable and the airco was perfect! Everything was so clean. The safari that we booked with him was amazing, i totally recommend it. It was one of the best experiences that I lived in my life🐘"

"The camping is an amazing green, natural location, where you can enjoy the nature at its fullest. Yves and Malika are very kindhearted and welcoming people, that gave us a feeling of immediately feeling welcome. The tents/beds are comfortable, although the strong winds let it shake strongly, but everything went well. You can make a nice hike down to the river."

In the morning we had no electricity and that is quite necessary for charging phones. There was only one warm cover and one sofa set, which makes it difficult to use when there are also other people around. An extra sofa and some extra warm covers would come in handy, while it is quite fresh at night.

"The property was cozy and clean. Cabin was nice and warm on cold days. Clean bathrooms! Really lovely to stay here. It’s a camp but I stayed for business. Service was extremely friendly and the breakfast was unreal. Pick your pannenkoenen and enjoy. I mean just a fantastic way to start the day."

Bathrooms are detached and a little cramped, but that is really what was advertised and also it’s supposed to be a camp, so having a warm shower is actually a bonus. Reminder they are nice and clean. I didn’t feel a need for shower shoes, it was cleaner than my hotel bathroom that I stayed in the night before.

"Es hat mir alles gefallen! Ich habe mit meinen zwei Jungs für 4 Nächte im Heu übernachtet. Die Vermieterin ist super freundlich! Der wunderbare Garten hat uns jeden Tag neues entdecken lassen, die Tiere waren toll. Ich habe nichts auszusetzen!"

Leute, die meinen für den günstigen Preis ein 10 Sterne Luxushotel erwarten zu müssen! Wer es klinisch rein haben möchte, sollte in die Stadt fahren und in ein Hotel gehen, nicht aufs Land, auf einen Bauernhof mit Tieren und Heu für ein paar Euro die Nacht!

"Hebert is the best host! Super welcoming, he's gonna tell you where to go and what to do on his beautiful island and trust me he's ready and knows what's he's doing. Also important to mention as a solo lady I felt comfortable and secure. If you're looking for an affordable stay it's the place to go in Aruba. Aruba Backpackers I'll be back !"

The dogs and puppies they had were extremely friendly. Sometimes even too friendly, so it was partly hard doing stuff outside on your own (read a book, eat, ...) because they always wanted attention and wanted to get pet.

"Staff are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Food servings are in large portion that I struggle to finish it."

The shower exhaust fan was weak, so after a hot shower there will be water condensation everywhere in the bathroom.

"Really nice getaway place. Calm area, beautiful beach, not crowded. Caravans are old but still do their magic. Was a great experience to stay a night there."

At the beginning it smelled humidity/mold, but with a/c working it was gone

"Is a heavenly place up on a Hill. In the middle of a lush vegetation, with lots of birds and butterflies."

"Everything was excellent, clean rooms, comfy bed, clean bathroom and the host was great. They helped us to get to know the area, told us what we can do or not do and many many advices. The greatest thing is that the is very remote at the countryside and they have quad bikes for rent. Believe me, there is the best place where you ever rode a quad bike."
