Campgrounds in Azerbaijan

At this price you need to expect a basic accommodation, which it is. Do yourself a favour and rent a scooter right from the beginning of your stay. The scooters rental is not really close to the resort so best you go there with the bus and then drive up to the accommodation with the scooter.

"This was a very comfortable modern house like a tiny home but felt spacious. Kids loved sleeping in the loft. It was warm and inviting. The setting is lovely on a river with some small falls. I imagine Iin summer the outdoor bbq area would be very nice. We had a very comfortable night. Free onsen was nice although glad no one else there as it was tiny."

The location is quite far from the train so you need a taxi. The taxi drivers seemed put out to go there she it cost us about $40. Also far from a shop. So bring food or have a car. I like an onsen but it was very tiny. It would be nicer outdoors by the river.

"I just loved the concept of tipi in the forest. Very clean camping area, big forest surrounding the campground, lots of birds and of course the lovely semois by my feet. It’s also a family camping so as a solo traveler you feel pretty safe."

The “insolite” part, you aren’t quite insolite, other tipis were in use by families with children running around and shouting. This was a bit tiring since I hoped to be in a calmer area. But you manage, I was out hiking the whole day and at night I set up my bbq while the kids slept. Only early mornings were hard - at the same time the birds were as loud as the kids 😂

"Camping felt private and secure right in town - convenient for walking to dinner and groceries. Cooking and common spaces were lovely and certainly better than expected for the price!"

"Bell tent was fab, better than expected with comfy, warm space, convenient plugs even! Felt more premium than I think we paid! Fantastic little close kitchen separate from main campsite was a great touch with awesome bbq facilities, stargazing, short walk from lakefront plus a great sauna much better than the queenstown one. Great to see kids having fun all over the site. Will definitely be back."

Closest toilet was portaloo and bit difficult to acces in dark sometimes, not my favourite, you can walk back to main site area but when it's middle of night you go to the closest, perhaps they will upgrade this but worth knowing.

"It was an incredible experience! Isuru was so kind with us, he took care of us since the first moment, the communication was great! If you want to get a very local and authentic experience, this is your place. Isuru knows a lot about nature and his country and we talked about so many things, we learned so much from Sri Lanka and its culture. The food was amazing, everything was delicious, I would say that is the best food we’ve tasted in Sri Lanka (rice and curry🤤). The location was perfect, so quite, not so far from the national park, also Isuru has a Tuktuk. You would be surrounded by nature in every moment, see the fireflies during the night.. ✨also you could have a walk next to the river and see a lot of birds ! The bed was so comfortable and the airco was perfect! Everything was so clean. The safari that we booked with him was amazing, i totally recommend it. It was one of the best experiences that I lived in my life🐘"

The dogs and puppies they had were extremely friendly. Sometimes even too friendly, so it was partly hard doing stuff outside on your own (read a book, eat, ...) because they always wanted attention and wanted to get pet.

"The camping is an amazing green, natural location, where you can enjoy the nature at its fullest. Yves and Malika are very kindhearted and welcoming people, that gave us a feeling of immediately feeling welcome. The tents/beds are comfortable, although the strong winds let it shake strongly, but everything went well. You can make a nice hike down to the river."

In the morning we had no electricity and that is quite necessary for charging phones. There was only one warm cover and one sofa set, which makes it difficult to use when there are also other people around. An extra sofa and some extra warm covers would come in handy, while it is quite fresh at night.
