Resort Villages in Mexico

"Lovely staff, beautiful style, nice activities/events every night, well organized."

Fans and ACs were working a bit intermittent. Room next to the main road was noisy. But they immediately upgraded us / changed our room, so it was solved easily.

"Super cozy little kabin with enough privacy and space. Everything is thought through for a short stay. Big bed with a roof window is really comfortable. I watched moon and stars before falling asleep to the sound of the wind outside. The garden is beautiful and the hosts are incredibly cute. A funny potato shaped dog kept me company 😄 Thank you so much for the great time at your place!"

I agree with other visitors, the shower room is not in a great condition. But it was working well.

"The morning and evening safari walk was very enjoyable, saw lots of wildlife, I even saw some porcupines. Nicely decorated buildings, and a comfortable stay in one of the banda's. The meals were plentiful and very good."

To get there, you must cross deep sand in a dry riverbed, no problem with 4wd, but maybe a challenge without 4wd.

"This place is more than a hosting place - it is a program which gives oppurtunity to students that have finished school but cant afford go to university."

I agree with other visitors, the shower room is not in a great condition. But it was working well.

It got a little warm in the cabin overnight, extra fans would have helped.

"This is truly a magical place. We had such a wonderful few days here. So much private access to nature including howler monkeys, sloths, dolphins, the coral reef right under the dock, bioluminescence, and more. It was incredible. Andrea is an amazing chef and was so thoughtful about our dietary restrictions. The loyal and lovely dogs were so fun to hang out with. This place is a blend of the rustic (screened in cabins with pee toilets and a walk to composting toilets), the prolific and preserved nature, and the luxuries of life (the exceptional food and beverage, lounging on the dock in a hammock, etc.). We absolutely loved our time at Cocovivo."

The bugs. No one's fault at all. The tiny no-see-ums ate us alive. So glad the screens on the rooms are so tightly knit so we didn't have any problems at all in our cabins.

"The location is just outside of Portsmouth on a very quite beach with amazing snorkeling from the beach, just swim to the right of the old pier to access the coral reef. Air conditioning in the bedroom was very nice."

We were expecting the cottages to be a bit rustic, and they were. However, the tub/shower was in rough shape and the kitchen sink hot water handle was stripped so it took a bit to figure out how to turn it on. Minor issues really for all that was great about the location and property.

"Brand new, beautifully appointed villas; outdoor private patio with comfortable couch and chairs looking out on gorgeous landscaping. Incredible views of both beaches from the fully furnished social areas (3 floors). Amazing pool overlooking the ocean with swim up seats! Super helpful staff - especially Cami who was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable."

Nothing about the actual property but depending on the tides, walking to either beach was could be a bit tricky without solid flip flops because of the rocks you have to walk on; however the walking is very short and the beaches are unbelievably beautiful!! Worth every step!
