Not really any downside about the accommodation. A car is needed as you cant really walk from there into town, but there is on-site parking and taxi services.

"One of the best places we have ever stayed; we really did not want to leave. Super high quality apartment and very comfortable. Well equipped for a holiday stay (but no oven). Lovely views across the mountains and also down to the lake. Easy walk down to the lake with a nice hotel/restaurant and even a small supermarket at the bottom of the road. About another 20 minutes into the town itself, along the footpath. So great location; peaceful and quiet without the Bled town crowds and traffic."

The hot water system will drive you mad - if, like us, you were brought up not to waste water! And bring your own shower gel etc.

"Very friendly host (Jerry). Clean and good size room. Although we had booked the accommodation with the understanding that we had a private kitchen, we learned upon our arrival that it was a shared kitchen. In the end, the shared kitchen worked out fairly well for us."

No door between washroom and bedroom. Occasional barking dogs during the night. No desk in room (rather than baby crib). Some difficulty finding the exact location when arriving late evening.

The food was okay but could have been nicer. Bring your mosquito repellent!

Ich persönlich bin kein Freund von Gemeinschaftsbad und -küche (war aber unmissverständlich so deklariert ;-) ).

"I enjoyed the stay here, thanks to the friendly and welcoming people and encounters with authentic lakeside life. The local style food was a highlight, especially the grilled butterfish from Lake Malawi, which was cooked perfectly right in front of my eyes. I really appreciated the clear instructions for arriving by public transport — getting there from Lilongwe turned out to be an interesting local experience in itself and made the journey feel much more connected to everyday Malawi life. While the property itself has - as the name says - a mainstream design and does not strongly reflect local character, there are plenty of authentic places to explore nearby. With the help of a local motorbike driver, I visited Lifuwu fishing village, which was lively, genuine and worth seeing. Overall, a comfortable lakeside stay with good food, helpful staff and great opportunities to get to know real Malawi just beyond the property!"

Managed to get a very good deal since it was booked last minute, only €22 for private room in Brno is a steal. Staff was polite and professional. Great experience!"

I loved the property except it took a while for the living room area to cool down due to the AC only being in the bedrooms

"Very personal stay. The owner is a bee keeper and I loved seeing the bees home. The bees didn't bother me or my dog at all. Close to shops and cafes."

I slept in the loft which was a little hot and stuffy. My mums slept downstairs The tariff was expensive.
