"The accommodations were lovely! Very cosy, and well looked after by the owners. There was fresh baked bread for the morning and a nice coffee machine for espresso as well. What a treat! Thank you for sharing your lovely spot."

"1. The host lady and gentleman were very nice. The lady showed us around the facilities and baked delicious bread for breakfast in the morning. 2. The bedroom was very clean and nicely decorated. Very homely and cozy. The bathrooms were both very clean and smelled wonderful. Because I used the shower very late, there was no need to wait for others. The kitchen had very full amenities, which we admittedly didn't utilize too much except for the water boiler and plates/bowls. 3. Mjoanes was just 10 10-minute drive from Hengifoss and 15 15-minute drive from Egilsstadir, so we didn't feel too tired going to pick up pizza for dinner. 4. The grounds are very beautiful, and we had a wonderful sunlit evening. There is ample parking for guests. 5. They let you check in until pretty late (10 PM or later even) if necessary."
"I think the Wi-Fi wasn't very strong? (which wasn't that big of an issue) and there was a little spider with me in the shower, but that's just a personal ick."
"Very accepting of last minute reservation. The room was very nice with blackout curtains to deal against the midnight sun. Shares with a camping site. In the quiet countryside was nice. They serve a basic but good homemade breakfast."

"We loved the whole experience. It was very quaint and a little rustic and we just felt like everything slowed down and we really enjoyed our time there. Elsa, the host was amazing. She works very hard to meet everyone's needs. She baked bread for us in the morning and showed us her art projects and we even bought a sheepskin from her that she tanned. Are grands loved running all over the property and visiting the little baby lambs. It was just a great experience for all."

"Very sweet and homey. We essentially had an entire apartment for 6 people, though I gather the rooms are otherwise booked individually with shared kitchen/bathrooms. Home cooked bread with a simple breakfast. Lovely place."

"Everything tbh - we were too tired after a hike to Studlagil. When we entered the property, met Elsa and checked in, I think the energy returned. The hot tub & sauna was a gift to my tired legs. Kitchen to room, everything was designed thoughtfully from a barn to a homestay and well equipped. Jfyi, the shower is common - but very big, spacious and clean. Hence it would not be an issue. If weather is nice and you are lucky, you may get to see some auroras too like us 😊"

"The room is clean and bedding is comfortable. We shared the bathroom with other two parties. Host communicated with us to drive avoid the gravel road. It help us when we drive in the dark and knowing nothing about surroundings. We were provided bread for breakfast for free in the morning."

"We recently stayed at Eystri-Solheimar for 3 nights. The host Einar and his staff were extremely helpful, attentive, the room was very clean and spaceious, very quiet. The breakfast/coffee was nice. We would stay there again next time if we go. Btw, he can speak Chinese! We wish that we could have seen the northern lights, but that's not Einar's fault, he then sent me some spectacular pictures from his phone as a compensation. :)"
