"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bertos Lodge. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel so welcome — incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and we slept incredibly well. What really made our stay special was the owner going the extra mile by helping us plan an itinerary for things to do in the area. Thanks to that, we had an amazing time and truly made the most of our visit. We can highly recommend Bertos Lodge and would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful location with a very nice room layout and facilities."

Room was exceptionally warm and hard to moderate the temperature. We eventually asked for the floor heating to be turned off completely and then opened all the windows and doors for over an hour to bring the temperature back down to a suitable value.

"If you want a peaceful, calm and stunning environment, this is the place. It is simple, but has everything you need in a beautiful setting. Perfect for nature lovers who don't want to be on top of other guests."

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

"If you are thinking about staying here, don’t think it too much. This place is AMAZING. The house, its hosts, the location and everything that comes with it was unforgettable."

Nothing, we loved everything

"The property is gorgeous, with a little walk you are right on the beachfront, and you are right next to the french quarter which is perfect for going out, restauration, and the Abissa festival! Precieux was super helpful with everything we needed, and they were flexible with our checkout and letting us leave our bags for the next day. It's not directly on the beach, but the property is lovely and the beach is right next door."

"My sister and I arrived late (maybe 10 PM) after our car broke down. Most of the staff had left for the day. We were shown to our room which had one king bed which wasn't what we ordered. We tried to explain to the worker we wanted two beds. He didn't speak much English but was able to get a hold of the owner who was still on site and he upgraded us to the superior room with two beds for free, which was very nice. The rooms are much more comfortable than most hotels in Madagascar. The property is gorgeous, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed wandering the grounds of the property after a day of exploring Isalo National Park."

Very expensive by Malagasy standards.

"The hotel is quite old but well looked after. The room was nice, with a patio looking over the river. The hotel is very well located, across the street from the train station."

"The view: wow. Believe me when I say it’s even more stunning in person than in the photos. The pictures don’t do it justice at all. It’s that breathtaking. The room was cozy, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and the location had a nice, peaceful vibe. It was a great and fun stay overall."

The only small downsides: the room could really use a mini fridge to keep water cold during the summer, and a full-length mirror would be a great addition. But aside from that, everything was fantastic.

"Extremely friendly and helpful owners that made us feel very welcome.🙏🏻 Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing and served in a beautiful location.🙏🏻 We really appreciated being dropped off at the station very early on our last day. Our clothes were beautifully washed. We would be happy to stay here again. Comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony."

Very little really. The set up of the bathroom made it that everything got wet but we didn’t feel it was a problem, especially as there was plenty of warm water at all times and the water pressure was good.

"The mountains scenery and the serenity of the place make Le massif de Laqlouq an ideal getaway. During our stay, we felt we are well taken care of; the staff was constantly checking upon us and assisting us with any request."

A perfect, relaxing destination.

"The owner invited us to see her newborn sheep and feed cows and sheep. My boys loved it, really cool container room with an amazing shower with heated floors."

Thank you, Sardan, for all the help and care and always checking on me and helping with my plans. The place by the pool is really nice for all the hot days, and they played really nice soft music that uplifted the vibes. The bungalow was gorgeous, too, waking up with a sea view directly from your bed. Perfect for couples or solo travelers. I booked for 2 nights and ended up extending for a full week. Can't wait to come back there. Kabak Beach is like a 30 min hike downstairs , it's very nice and cozy without trashy tourists vibe like Oludeniz."

"Great nature experience, very remote and quite place. Amazing food and cozy cottages."

Ms. Allissya (I assume one of the owners) wasn't too friendly and even rude at times which made our stay uncomfortable at times. All the other employees were very friendly. Also, the shower in our cottage wasn't working properly.

"Comfy rooms, spacious balcony with hammock, beautiful river view from the bed even, lovey staff. And their coffee made with a percolator was great"

What was there not to like?

"The scenery on top of the high hills is much more beautiful! Afternoon a natural silence and peaceful atmosphere is created. I like it very much. I decided to go again."

Liked everything. But the height of this hill is a bit high so I would suggest that one should not take the elderly.

"This trip was planned as-hoc and we didn’t have very high expectations, however Hyena lodge was above and beyond. Absolutely stunning views, clean (clean clean) accommodation, bathrooms and overall territory. The beds were comfortable with beautifully designed blankets and pillows. Each balcony had a nice bench to sit on and jointly amazing views of Lake Mburo. Also we had game drive and had a chance to walk very closely to several giraffes and kids throughly enjoyed it. Overall very memorable stay! Highly recommend!"

We could have fit in the twin room easily with our two teenagers, but unfortunately the booking doesn’t show that option for families. The room is double the size of the standard room with two queen size beds. Actually we all stayed together first night and it was spacious enough. Hence would be good to list this room for four people as well.
