"Very helpful and accomodating team in reception and the main restaurant. We loved our room: generously sized, nicely decorated, convenient kitchenette corner. The nature pool was fantastic, and it was great to be able to use resort equipment (snorkeling, bikes, etc). The food was very good, we ate well. 🙂"

We loved the location and food in the beach bar, unfortunately the server there was not very good: not especially friendly or quick.

"The location was wonderful! I loved the hot pot on site and the sauna! The proximity to so many water falls and Laugarfell was great! We enjoyed the cute museum on site and appreciated the 50% discount! The staff was incredibly helpful. We forgot a suitcase and they quickly realized our mistake and called us before we had been gone more than a few minutes. It was a quick turnaround to be reunited with our belongings! So kind and thoughtful!"

The tropical gardens around the hotel were beautiful and larger than any hotel gardens I have seen elsewhere in Asia and very well maintained. In particular we would like to mention Mr Tony Tong the Hospitality Manager who was very helpful advising us on excursions and sorting out a serious travel problem (0ne railway ticket booked instead of two!)"

The spa was a bad experience. They only accepted cash and asked for extra charge for bathrobes. The floor was wet and slippery. The changing rooms cold. There were 4 people blasting music on their bluetooth speaker and not a single employee came to say anything.

A bit confusion regarding payment on the website & being told by Manager that Booking.com confirmed reservation, but payments are made at site.(Not listed on website) My payment info was given twice which was not necessary.

"I had such a lovely time there. The facilities are first rate and the staff is amazing. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. They put every effort into doing whatever was necessary to make my stay perfect. I was there kind of off season, so the spa was closed, but I wanted services, so they had someone come in for me. I had an amazing massage. The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and I loved the shower. Breakfast was quite yummy and they had rooms service for other meals also. The boatman they had for my lake tour really took me all over the lake. The prices were reasonable, so I could relax and just enjoy the lovely place and not stress about anything."

I honestly can't think of anything. It would have been nice if their gift shop had been open, because I'd have like to buy some of the products they have in the bathroom.

In the kitchen, there were very few things - for example, there were no knives, and we wanted to cook, so after asking the staff, we got one knife for cutting everything (but it was originally meant for cutting bread), also, there were very few plates and forks ...

"Beautiful view, with exceptional service. The staff is extremely friendly, makes a point of learning your name and providing the personal touch. A bit outside the busy Stone Town area, very close to the airport. Well priced."

The breakfast is a bit disappointing, would have loved a strong cup of coffee, but the rest of the menu is really enjoyable, and the great service more than makes up for the slightly under par breakfast.

Het zwembad is heerlijk waar de kids zich ook goed in vermaakt hebben. De omgeving is niet erg toeristisch, maar met een beetje goed zoeken zijn er diverse mooie wandelroutes in de omgeving. De host is erg vriendelijk en staat voor je klaar."

We never managed to get through to Spa staff when driving over so couldn’t make a booking

Little hard to find the parking for the cabin though. They were numbered but not clearly printed on the map we were given. Had to look around quite a bit before we found the parking spot. There was no information on how to practically check out. I drove the car towards the reception but the street in front of the reception had a no stopping sign. Had to reverse it back to the parking spot. Was a bit confused on what to do. Turned out that i should have walked and given the key cards to the reception or dropped them in a box and just driven to the exit and that the exit gate opened automatically.

"Everything here is perfect. The resort is in a jungle setting, with fish, butterflies and birds. The Tree House villa we stayed in was perfect, with a floor for us and a floor for the kids. Everything was taken care of - from water and snacks to the pool and the restaurant. A perfect stay."

The villa pool is in constant shade. While it's perfect for us (no sun burns), it means the water temprature is always a bit too cold, which practically meant we spent our time in the (perfect) public pool, but never used our villa pool. It would be great if the villa pool had an option for heating.

You will likely want to rent a car since the attractions you can walk to are nice but limited; with a car we really enjoyed Anguilla from this location. It was a bit on the pricey side for just my wife and I, but would be a great option for a larger group or for families.

"We enjoyed our stay at the bacherhof resort. We were skiing for a few days and enjoyed the breakfast and the comfortable beds. The host and the family are very nice and helpful.
