"The hotel location is central , there is a supermarket beside the hotel and many restaurants around. The marine is 1 min walk from the hotel. The hotel is soo clean and breakfast was basic but good to start the day. The hotel is good for a short stay especially if you will go for hiking or trips."

"Great location within walking distance to just about Everything. The proprietors were super helpful and kind. I had to leave very early in the morning, and the nice guy at the desk packed me a big breakfast. Rooms are basic but very clean and quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!"

"I really loved the place, from the amazing and really helpful staff to delicious breakfast and amazing location in the city center. Also I love the details, so names of the rooms based on Levadas around Madeira was very cute detail. Plus when we had the early morning hiking trip, they were so nice to prepare snack for us for the trip. If you are planning a stay in Funchal, I HIGHLY recommend to stay in Zarco! "Our room was directly above the breakfast area, so we could hear staff preparing breakfast. Even when it woke us up, the staff was so nice and friendly that we were not that bothered by it after all."
