"The staff was delightful and exceptionally helpful. We were able to interact easily with several of them, including Rosita, who was the manager during our stay. The breakfast was amazing, individually served with eggs to order. It started with a large fruit plate each morning and included yogurt, eggs, toast, jams, a pitcher of fresh juice, a bottle of water, and hot water for coffee or tea. As for location, while quite a hike from the nearest beaches at Beau Vallon, there was a small rainforest right behind our building with a rushing brook coming down the mountainside. It was all very beautiful and the natural sounds were awesome. I've attached a few photos."

Only one small thing: I wish that the shower had a small barrier in the open space between the glass and the wall, to keep water from escaping into the otherwise spacious bathroom.

One day I heard construction in a neighboring unit. But it didn't last long and wasn't an issue.

If you are traveling on a budget I highly recommend this place. I'll be staying there next time. Very quiet also. AC also available and good quality WIFI."

The room and closet need a new coat of paint . A table to put bags on.

"A very nice and well equipped apartment on the 8th floor. The young lady who represented the owners was very helpful and nice about everything. The lady who was responsible for cleaning did a superb job."

As I have a problem with a leg I wrote the owners beforehand to be assured that access to the apartment was easy and was informed that it was, however, when we arrived it turned out that we first had to access one building and take a lift four floors and then walk a bit to access the building with the apartment. It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

"Остров небольшой (800 на 400м). На острове 3 отеля, 3 магазина, 2 кафешки. дайв-клуб. У отеля собственный частный пляж с бесплатными лежаками и хорошим заходом в воду - даже тапочки не нужны. Рядом рифы с огромным количеством местных рыбок разного размера и цвета, поэтому берите с собой маску. Мы жили в Garden vew - это отдельный от основгого отеля guest house на 5 номеров с частной территорией - вход по чипу. Пляж, ресторан находятся на основной территории отеля (Laguna view), где имеется 22 номера. Они естественно дороже. От garden view до laguna view метров 400 по прямой. Так что мы хоть 1000 шагов за день наматывали, а то и 100 не выходило бы ))) Вечером к причалу приплывают акулы няньки и рифовые акулы - отель их кормит каждый вечер."

Мы брали полный пансион. Завтраки были печальные. Из белка только омлет с овощами и через раз сосиски. В обед не швецкий стол, а отель сам дает то, что готовят в данный день. Не нравится - заказывай из платного меню: 2е блюдо + сок выходит 15-20$ на человека. На ужин макароны+рис и мясо+рыба. 1 салат и 1 вид фруктов. Наверное для Мальдив это нормально - не знаю.

Missed an on-site restaurant and had to drive almost six kms away for decent breakfast. The Wifi could be better. The approach road is accessible only by a off roader 4x4.

"The location was very convenient. I really love the ocean view and especially hearing the ocean splashes everyday during my stay, it was really breathtaking, relaxation and good service. Also the food at the restaurant below my room had very delicious food, also from the balcony of the restaurant I enjoyed the ocean view and beautiful sunsets. I'm in love with this island especially in Westpunt!"

I do not really have any complaints about anything, because all of my wishes have been granted during my stay. So I have nothing to complain about. Keep up the good work and service! Everything was just perfect!

Only two minor things. We stayed ad couple, and there was room with two beds, but beds a slide over floor from minor movements, so you can't sleep together. The show hangs, a bit used. So you need to keep shoower in your hands if you use max water pressure.

"We stayed here before and after our trip to Legoland. Host was very kind and helpful. Easy check-in and checkout. Private parking space. Studio Apartament was cozy. Some books and games available. Also a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules , and tea as well. There are some really good bakeries nearby, ideal for breakfast and sweets."

Cleaning was done only on surface (superficial). Studio appartment is rather small. Quite expensive for what it offers

"The guest house is exceptionally well-managed, and the host is incredibly friendly and helpful. We wish we had the chance to extend our stay and explore more of the area. Conveniently located near a JR station, the house is just a 10-minute walk away. Even though we arrived quite late, the host greeted us at the station and kindly offered to transport our luggage to their house. The house is spacious, modernly furnished, and tastefully decorated."

The bed is absolutely awful. After trying to sleep the first night and not I move to the futon in the living room w all my bed pillows. I didn't sleep well at all throughout my stay. I am athletic and was diving so having proper sleep is a must.

"Great location in a quiet side street in downtown Piestany. Alena the receptionist was very accommodating allowing me early checkin. Quiet, big room, super comfortable, big single beds with wonderful linens. Room had a kettle, microwave, mini fridge and basic dish & glassware. Bathroom bright and new."

You can hear the neighborhood dogs and other apartments’ tenants during your stay, but that can’t be helped. As long as you can sleep with a little noise, this place is a gem!

"I had such a great time at the Buttercup Airbnb! The staff was amazing—by the end of my 8-day stay, I honestly felt like I had gained another family. The place was spotless, and everything was even cleaner and nicer than I expected. I also really appreciated how they checked in on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable. The only funny part was the roosters—they made it their mission to wake me up every morning! But honestly, it just became part of the experience, and it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. I’d definitely go back again! It was a delightful stay!"

On my last sleep of the week I was disturbed by the above resident, moving furniture and banging in the early hours of my departure day. Also just before 3am, being woken up by my TV having it on a different channel to what I had when I turned it off before going to bed believing someone had trespassed into the property and the thought of my belongings being stolen.

"We picked up the keys and then we were escorted to the apartment. Everything were explained to us by Peter, who was very friendly. The apartment was very spacious and clean."

Cutlery can be upgraded due to damage by dishwasher. Other than that, everything was perfect. We do not have any other complaints.

"The location is wonderful, near to beaches, food, grocery. The atmosphere is very relaxing, greenery all around and beautiful view of the sea. Miss Juliet was a gracious, and very pleasant host. She was at the apartment to welcome us and show us the apartment. We stayed in the studio and it is very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. A small family can stay there. We were impressed with the welcome fruits, bananas, mangoes, pineapples & watermelon. There was water & orange juice. Actually we did not want to leave!"
