Very small single room. Shady pricing for airport transfers: I was offered a ride from the airport for K70, my friend (she didn't stay there but was inquiring about their rooms) got an offer for K50 for the same transfer, I was offered a ride to the airport for K50. A bit further away from town (20-25 min walk). "Loud" bed.

"The staff was super freindly and you could serve yerself with caffee and tea troughout the whole day without extra charge. The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but everyone could find something. The pension has a great location, you can reach the old town with a 10-minuta walk. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay."

The beds are a bit too hard, but other than that everything was okay.

"We absolute loved our stay at Les Hibiscus. Our room was beautiful and furnished with love. On top of that Solange was always there to help and share information. The breakfast was just delicious, you can tell that Solange loves cooking."

When booking on here, It wasn't too clear about the extra cost of breakfast and also when we arrived, the receptionist told us what time this was but then when we came down for it the next morning, said we had not booked. Needs to be clear on check in and booked then. It would have perhaps been good to have been informed about the wedding taking place when we were there.

"The establishment is still in its early stages. The host arrived at the airport to welcome us and guide us to the location. We were their first guests. The place exudes a homely feeling with its neat design and beautiful interior decorations. The place has a small swimming pool, which elevates the ambiance altogether. The host and the staff are very kind and helpful, making our stay very pleasant."

There was nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect :)

It was a little further from the city than I thought. Easy bus ride into the city though.

"Great location, close enough to walk into centre of town to explore, lovely hosts and they made a lovely breakfast each morning. Everywhere was kept warm and toasty, great big shared bathroom downstairs and an extra kettle to make hot drinks! Would definitely stay again when visiting!"

My room was a small single on the ground floor and I could hear the road noise outside, but that was my choice because I prefer to have the window open for fresh air even in winter!

"The staff. Especially Gladys and Jeff. Some of the nicest staff I have met in all my travels! The location. A quiet area in Karen with great restaurants a short uber away. Breakfast was good."

No mirror in the room except for the bathroom. And that’s it

"Clean room, shower was hot, nice decorations, comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly. The overnight staff member, I could have hugged him he was so kind to me when I came in sick from the bus ride. The location is near the main plaza with good restaurants and stores within a 2-4 min walk and about a 10 min walk to Lake Titicaca where the boats are. Great room for the price and breakfast was good too."

Impossible to find, no sign, it's tucked in around the building with many other businesses. Had multiple locals trying to help me find it. Google maps want any help either

And the proprietor was kind - I arrived very early in the morning and though my room was not ready, she allowed me to crash in an open room for a few hours, which I very much appreciated after a 24-hour journey from the States. I would happily stay here again."

It is far from the city center, but that's not a secret. There are not many restaurants around, so be aware of that. As far as the accommodation itself, I was comfortable but the fridge could not be plugged in at the same time as the air conditioner, which was a pity.

I don’t like the building structure and the fact that it doesn’t look decent outside but the inside is satisfactory.

"Perfect location - meters from the beach and a bit away from the centre of beachfront which made it slightly quieter during the huge crowds that descend on the beach for New Year. Restaurant on beach is amazing - excellent meals. Once at hotel you can walk everywhere with ease."

We booked a room for 3, but don't think it was of the same quality as the other rooms at the hotel. Our room was right next to the bar / reception and while it was communicated as having a 'sea view' - what wasn't mentioned is that it overlooks the restaurant first, with the sea behind it. Because of where the room was situated, it was also very dark (a long thin room) with little natural ventilation, so a bit stuffy. The bathroom was tiny for 3 people. But we made the best of it and the benefit was best access to wifi (based at restaurant) and also quickest access to beach. We would definitely choose this hotel above all others when visiting Tofo again - BUT would make sure we get a better room. It wasn't a room you really wanted to spend time in.
