"Dudy was such a pleasure to stay with and I highly recommend booking with him. He graciously let me drop off my belongings early and pick them up after checkout so that I had extra time to explore the city. The room was spacious and I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. And what a beautiful garden! We had some great conversations about the plants that I was seeing and about his recommendations for the best things to do in the city. I was glad that I took his advice. Thank you so much for hosting me and making my trip wonderful!"

"#1 - Maryann is the BEST! Her rooms are clean and the place is so welcoming. It is located up in the mountains, so the nights are cool. It’s also right on a bus route so you can get anywhere on the island by bus. She gave me great ideas and I went to most of the places she suggested. I look forward to returning."

"I haven't eaten so can't comment in breakfast and such. I had to cook my own food for dinner, which is fine. REALLY nice kitchen and good Vibes..it's so peaceful and wonderful here. amazing breathe inside of a city. so grateful he has created this sacred space 🙏"

I have not much to say negative at all

"Beautiful, clean and an amazing place to stay which is well worth the price. The property is located in the middle of the island, close to shops, restaurants and bakeries. Mrs. St. Rose is warm and courteous and answered all my questions, she even gave me a tour of the many fruit trees that she has on property. In speaking with her, I found out that there is a 2 bedroom apartment on the premises as well and I was allowed to see it. Now this apartment is stunning, so huge that it can fit at least 8ppl and it has air-conditioning. The property also has a generator which is a plus, this is nice to know for my next trip with my family. I am extremely glad that I did my research and found this place. It is definitely a 10 out of 10."

"The property has a very good location, you can ski to the center and to the foot of the mountain. It is very clean and spacious, we booked two apartments and we are very satisfied with them. Wifi is okay, it works nicely. There’s parking and kitchen and two bathrooms and a toilet in those two apartments."

The owner was with us at the house, and he wanted to help us with the snow around our cars, but we didn’t always feel comfortable around him. He was cheerful and kind man sometimes, but sometimes he made unnecessary comments which were not needed in this type of situation since we are the guests there.

"I've had the most amazing and warmest welcome anyone could dream of , mama mireka is such a beautiful human , so kind and caring Her son engi and her daughter in law were so considerate and kind , brought me some breakfast and drove me to the airport as well as helped me sort out some issues I had with the airlines And they kept checking on me until I landed in my next destination The place was really nice and spacious and had all what one needs ... Highly recommend"

"Very comfortable, spacious, and private. Location was safe, gated, and welcoming. Sitting areas, balcony, and kitchen were available. The hosts were just simply AMAZING. We so enjoyed spending time with them and conversing as we were able. Issa welcomed us with a big smile and much kindness. They were also very helpful to us concerning food for our brief stay. We cannot recommend Issa’s House more highly. We loved it, and them."

The kitchen was not equipped very well. It is sufficient only for short stays. So if you stay for two or three nights it is OK - otherwise you will not be able to prepare decent meals there.

The only thing that slightly annoyed me on arrival was that there wasn’t an electrical socket right next to the bed, even though it did say that on the booking site. But that’s a small thing.

"Roomy, bright, immaculately clean. Bulbul and her family were welcoming, helpful at every turn. They provided a delicious and hearty breakfast. We were treated to beautiful dombra music and the harmonious voices of family friends in a small concert the first evening."

If we had a chance to stay longer

"Kevin was a helpful and informative host . He is also a good cook , delivering large portions of food at mealtimes . The house is a pretty cottage in a nice setting ."

I struggled to get hot water in the shower for a while . The road nearby is quiet which is good for sleeping but not so good for public transport .

It’s just on 2nd bathroom the heater don’t work.

"The place is a bit more than 1 km from the main road and it is easy to walk there. The room has comfortable bed, fan and also a table suitable for working. The hosts (2 sisters) are very kind. There is a takeaway food shop quite close (in front of the college)."

The wall between my room and room of the owner is from wood, so people can hear each other.

"The location was excellent near to the bus stops and restaurants. Plenty of places to eat, local and otherwise. Very quiet. The host speaks very good english and was very helpful and informative about things to do and places to go. Great experience overall."

Not much. I think that for a single person the value is great.

"The space is pretty cool and has character . There were 2 other guests but it was obvious. Actually had a great chat with them . But the property inside has a charm to it . Open and airy. The star is the host who is warm and friendly and a local , so you get the vibe of actually being in Guyana . The host was very accommodating and me the stay feel very micasa sucasa. I would stay here again and again ."
