If you are a light sleeper, you might find the noise from the road (10m away) and the railway behind it excessive, as well as noise from the next door neighbours with small kids, etc.

"That’s amazing studio flat in a very nice hotel. It is sad that is sharing apartment, but you don’t share anything. You have your private bathroom, washing machine, private kitchen, private balcony, the only thing you share is one door to get to your flat. There are food shops and restaurants all around. Tram and bus stops very close. Metro station is about 1 km away, but you can take tram to get there, it takes two stops. Apartment was clean, nice clean white sheets, clean good towel, shampoo and hair conditioner. Security downstairs so you feel absolutely safe. Location is good for taking a walk by the marina to see yachts and a wonderful view to all buildings around. Wi-fi was good."

There is nothing in the kitchen, no spoons, no forks, no cups, no plates, absolutely empty. I had to buy a cup just to make coffee. Had to wait host for 1,5 hour. The main things to see are far away from the property, you need to take metro and ride 10-15 stops to see burj khalifa, the frame, future museum and ect. At least it’s one line. There was bad smell in the kitchen (can’t understand where it was coming from) had to keep balcony’s door open all the time. Very noisy street outside, cars and trams traffic all the time.

"Very nice and special place, 15 min from the town (it's a beautiful walk along the beach). Placed tight at the beach. Very beautiful common areas with a great unique vibe. Eggs, onions and garlic for cooking available, coffee too. Andres is always around, very nice and helpful. Great atmosphere. Beautiful stars in the night."

You can only charge your electronic devices if you give them to Andres (which is easy enough though because he is around a lot). And it's understandable given the location of the hostel.

"Dudy was such a pleasure to stay with and I highly recommend booking with him. He graciously let me drop off my belongings early and pick them up after checkout so that I had extra time to explore the city. The room was spacious and I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. And what a beautiful garden! We had some great conversations about the plants that I was seeing and about his recommendations for the best things to do in the city. I was glad that I took his advice. "It was a comfortable stay. It is an apartment room . Not a hotel , you deal with owner through whtsap . He arranged the door opening and keys and from there you are on your stay. For short stay ,, it is very convient"

"If you are more a visitor then a tourist, if you like exploring and going further when comfortable tourism ends, this place is for you. The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. The PNGFE made my stay very comfortable and made me experience local life and the raw nature of PNG!!"

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

"The place is a bit more than 1 km from the main road and it is easy to walk there. The room has comfortable bed, fan and also a table suitable for working. The hosts (2 sisters) are very kind. There is a takeaway food shop quite close (in front of the college)."

The wall between my room and room of the owner is from wood, so people can hear each other.

"I've had the most amazing and warmest welcome anyone could dream of , mama mireka is such a beautiful human , so kind and caring Her son engi and her daughter in law were so considerate and kind , brought me some breakfast and drove me to the airport as well as helped me sort out some issues I had with the airlines And they kept checking on me until I landed in my next destination The place was really nice and spacious and had all what one needs ... "Everything! The host Mishko was there all the time, on call for everything. We're more than glad that he and his wife waited and assisted with the directions even though we arrived after 10 pm. The house is on the beach, in a quiet neighborhood-terrific if you want to relax. The view of the lake can not be described with words. There is a market at the next street open on Sunday. The place is worth more than the price."

"The hosts are the most welcoming and nice people. They are very friendly, helping and responsive. We felt very welcomed here. The room was very nice with vintage furniture that has this wonderful specific scent of a vintage furniture. Wonderfully decorated, the room and the kitchen create very warm feeling. Anna Christina was even willing to help us with the breakfast and charged very generously for it. And her husband helped me with the luggage because I damaged my back recently. Thank you so much for your help and hospitality!"
